The owner operates two restaurants here on the main walking strip: one is vegetarian. Large lunch and dinner menu with Thai dishes as well western style fries and wraps, pasta, shakes, and smoothies. Despite the name, this establishment is vegetarian. Open Mon-Sun 11:00am-11:00pm.

Dow Vegan is located in the center of Phi Phi’s businesses across from it’s sister kosher restaurant. There are some friendly cats and plenty of books to give library vibes.
Read moreYou’ll be impressed with the extensive menu with plenty of Thai options and even some Italian and Middle Easter ones. The Thai food was decently good, but the falafel, hummus, and pita were subpar. I returned because I knew I could order vegetarian.
Prices are double what you’ll find at less touristy places.

It was a treat to find such an array of mock meats and all sorts of dishes. You have to ask what is / can be made vegan, with such a big menu it would be better to be clearly labelled for proper thinking time! I tried the vegan carbonara. It was great to have something so different but it did lack a little flavour (was just creamy tasty, perhaps this is how carbonara is meant to be? Personally I'd have added miso and nutrional yeast etc for more flavour) added salt and pepper and soy sauce which are on the table definitely jazzed it up! Still lovely to have such different options and I'd definitely want to try other things. It was great that my non vegan partner could order from the meat menu from the opposite restaurant and eat together

Myself (vego), my partner (meat eater) and my two friends (vegan) went here twice in the two days we were on Phi Phi because the food was so delicious and the menu was extensive. My partner could order meat from the restaurant across the walkway and eat it here too. You could order anything on this menu and be very happy!

Dow has a non-vegetarian and a vegetarian restaurant, the latter offers lots of vegan options! They serve authentic Thai food, which I can absolutely recommend. I tried their summer rolls, pad thai, green curry, massaman curry and fried broccoli. It's absolutely fantastic! Plus they offer fruit smoothies. And they are pretty cheap. Can't complain. :)

Lugar muy agradable y personal muy atento y amable. Te dan unos juegos mientras esperas a que llegue tu comida para que se haga las ameno. El massaman curry estaba delicioso. Tienen muchas proteínas “fake meat” para elegir. El único contra sería que ponen poca cantidad de fake meat por lo que pedimos un fake pollo como ración y vino con mucho rebozado y no nos gustó.

We had the massaman curry and I think I went to heaven. The portions were very generous and the staff were all so lovely and helpful. We had a side of the hummus and a few other dishes as well and it was all to die for!! I want all their secrets!

I was surprised how many options they have. Though you have to be careful with sauces as some of them r not vegan despite it’s vegan/vegetarian place… Fallafels were tiny as for kids, salads a bit boring, but hummus homemade, ok..curries were good🙌🏼

all traditional Thai dishes can be veganised here ! they have fake meats such as shrimp and chicken listed ok the menu although I did not get round to trying them. very big selection on the menu. thai dishes, western dishes, sandwiches, falafel and more. very friendly staff. I ordered falafel sandwich twice and it came different both times . it says on the menu baguette, but once came in a pitta with loads of salad with cucumber, next time came on a baguette with only lettuce and tomato.

They currently have a great variety of options that allows for a lot of adjustments. For example, four or five different ways to make a Massaman curry depending on what you want in it. The menu is affordably priced, and the portions are good. Absolutely love it!

I really liked the fact that you can sit in a place where no meat or fish are served next to me. Thank you for that. We also got to play “four in a row” after placing our order. Don’t worry, it’s not because the order takes so long. It’s just fun. And I won.
