A quiet cafe on Shennong St, a famous old, preserved street in Tainan, with carpentry classes held in a workshop behind. Its menu features mainly drinks and 3 or so veggie dishes: noodles and miswa. Open Mon-Fri 11:00am-4:00pm, Sat-Sun 11:00am-6:00pm.

Pleasant break and good coffee - Edit
En balade à Tainan je me suis arrété dans ce café dont la deventure attire l'oeil, l'ambiance est agréable, l'idée d'un café exposant les meubles de la menuiserie qui se trouve en arrière cour est intéressante et j'ai mangé une bonne salade et bu un bon café. C'est aussi cool d'avoir un repas sans avoir à expliquer le mot végane et sans avoir à décrire tout ce que l'on ne manges pas ;)

we randomly picked a cafe along shennong street to avoid the scorching midday sun and ended up spending a hour or so at dove tail cafe, amidst its pleasant interiors and relaxing music. we were the only customers that friday afternoon.
i was surprised to see that the menu, besides drinks, included three organic veggie mains, though one was crossed out on the spot by the wait staff (see photo). i later asked her if only veggie dishes were served there, and she answered yes, almost apologetically. as we were still full from breakfast, we only had coffee (which was good) and didn't try the food.
Pros: great ambience, relaxing music, good coffee
Cons: have to remove shoes
