Yummy Banh Mi - Edit
I didn’t have great expectations but it was so good. Messy but good. There was a cacophony of flavors in my mouth. I’m not a fan of carrots but even the slaw with carrots in it was excellent. I was also excited to learn that they use vegan butter on their Banh mi.
Read moreThey had a seasonal drink that was mango & basil and it was so refreshing.
I was sad to learn that none of their pastries or doughnuts e vegan.

Unique vegan banh mi! - Edit
Tofu banh mi are pretty easy to find, but other vegan options are uncommon in the New Orleans area. Dough Nguyener's has a really unique banh mi! Note that it is labeled as vegan on the menu but still comes with dairy butter...MUST specify no butter. It comes topped with tofu skin shreds, gluten based mock meat strips, and pate (I think mushroom based?) Everything was so well seasoned! There are a couple of other options I want to try next, like the vegan chicken sliders. The boba tea was also excellent.

Cons: Banh mi isn't vegan as is- must order no butter, No vegan baked goods😡
