A must stop for travelers - Edit
I find it hard to narrow down my choice to just one thing, so I will have to come back next time I’m in town.
Read moreThe meatball calzone is a solid choice. The mix of plant based cheeses make for a great flavor explosion.

Good pizza - Edit
Pizza here was good, there were tons of options to choose from. Also offers non pizza items like pasta.
Read moreDownside for me is that there’s no individual pizza, I had dinner by myself and had to buy a regular sized one. I liked it but it had some sort of pickled peppers and I don’t recall the menu saying that and I don’t like them so I had to take them away.

Peor experiencia vegana del mundo - Edit
Tristeza absoluta.

Stay for the potato pizza! - Edit
I'm a huge Plant City fan. No shame. So when I saw a Double Zero in Boston I was intrigued. Vibe was weird but it was a wintry week night. Loud music, interesting communal tables, wine. I've had the pizza to go from Plant City before and it was meh. However, fresh from the oven is a different story. I had the potato pizza which had this delicious cashew cheese and it was wonderful. Not too heavy. There's not a lot of vegan places in that neighborhood so I hope they find their groove and do well.

No. 1 in Boston - Edit
Before coming to Boston, I started researching where the best vegan food was eaten. Double Zero wasn't on any list, but I found it and I didn't need to go to another place anymore.

Nice za - Edit
I tried the truffle pizza and the eggplant calzone. Both were great options. And the portions were pretty big too. It was quite busy when I was there, but the staff was quick none the less! The only unfortunate thing is that they were out of tiramisu. They also only offer alcoholic beverages when I was there. They did have free water though.

The best calzone I've ever eaten - Edit
The texture, flavor and crispy texture of their pizzas and calzones make this place one of my favorites in Boston, unfortunately the prices are very high even though the portions are large.

Pretty good, maybe not worth the price - Edit
I've been here twice on Newbury (possibly also in Providence, but that plant palace is confusing so idk where in there I ate). Pizzas are dece, but one time I ordered a kombucha that turned out to be alcoholic despite not saying it was alcoholic?! I'm sober and I remarked that it tasted disgusting like alcohol and they were like, "well yea." Who does that?! On that same occasion I wanted dessert but they were out of all the desserts. You'll have a good time if you bring charming companions and low expectations.

Not safe for celiacs - Edit
Okay. The theoretically “gluten free” pizza was DELICIOUS. Hands-down, some of the best supposedly GF pizza I’ve ever had... Unfortunately, a few hours later and I am suffering, looking 10 months pregnant. I was sure to express that it was celiac and “an allergy” but it didn’t suffice. The rest of our party can eat all the gluten- they are/were happy campers. They recommend the truffle pizza and the eggplant Parmesan. They report that the meatball calzone was fine but perhaps a bit disappointing. The dessert pizza with hazelnut spread and bananas was deemed “too chocolatey” by all tasters.

Extremely 3 star meal - Edit
Few restaurants have caused me to change my order to takeout moments after sitting down. The food, not bad. Pizza was pretty good; cacio e pepe was decent; meatballs just bad. But the service was worse. Restaurant was empty and the hostess still seemed inconvenienced to seat us. Also, don’t have an open kitchen if everyone is going to look miserable inside.

Fantastic Pizza - Edit
Some of the best pizza we’ve had. I had the Artichoke pizza and my wife had the Potato pizza. My wife’s was gluten free. Great crust. Both texture and flavor. We also shared the Caesar salad. It was fresh and delicious.

Good option for the area - Edit
The staff were friendly and the food was good, not amazing, and a little too pricey for only being good, but it is Newbury Street. I would go back but I had been hoping for a fluffier more Neapolitan style crust given the name of the restaurant and the flour they use. The artichoke pizza was very good. The bianca sounded amazing on the menu but was a bit monotone in its flavors.

My husband and I split the eggplant parmesan and the truffle pizza. (We ordered our pizza with no lemon vinaigrette but with olive oil instead.) Absolutely phenomenal! Mina (not sure of the spelling) was wonderful. . .bright, personable, and attentive. Great experience!

Decent food, subpar service - Edit
I had only ever been to the providence location (which is awesome) so I had high hopes. Unfortunately the server was not very friendly or attentive and the service was slow despite there only being a handful of people inside. We got the pepperoni and Bianca pizzas. Both were okay. The pepperoni was a little too spicy for our liking. The Bianca was interesting. If I were to go back I would probably just stick with the pizza I know and love, the truffle.

Decent - Edit
The pizza bases and tomato base were great but I just wish people would offer more non vegan cheese options. Yeah i know it’s controversial it the the eggplant Parmesan had too much cashew cream and the Margherita pizza had dollops of plant based cheese which were congealed and added no value IMO.

Don’t give up on your favorite Neapolitan-style pizzeria yet - Edit
This is my first visit to Double Zero. It is a lovely restaurant with 100% plant-based food. The quality is good, though (as in many of MK’s restaurants) there is just too much cheese and oil on the food. For vegan pizza I will continue to favor excellent Neapolitan-style marinara pie.

I agree. All of MKs food is too oily.
