Very friendly and welcoming. Vegan and GF options on pancakes, salad dressings, Mayo for slaw. Italian, Dutch, French themed tastes very good.

Wonderful GF vegan pancakes! I had a Greek special, with olives, peppers and vegan halloumi. It was absolutely delicious. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that I couldn't get a non-dairy latte! I'm surprised this is not an option, as they clearly have non-dairy milk in the building!

This place was a really nice surprise. It’s basically different kinds of pancakes (sweet and savoury). Good smoothies and milkshakes plus cakes. They have a vegan menu with loads of options. Good service and friendly atmosphere. Worth coming to.

Had a wonderful time at Double Dutch Pancake House! Lots of vegan options and amazing milkshakes! I had the banana milkshake and the Amsterdammer pancake (apple and facon with syrup) and it was delicious! Only downside is that it’s quite pricy.

Really nice location but wow how much can a pancake cost! £8.25 for 1 pancake and 3 slices of cheap shop brought facon... Is it me or is that crazy?

Appreciate the vegan menu but when compared to the normal menu it seems very over priced.

A dedicated menu is fantastic and the pancake I had was nice if a touch on the bland side, the French I think it was though I would have it again. I imagine the desert pancakes are wonderful but was too full. A little on pricey side but it is central York. Main complaint is that it's really smoky due to open kitchen and vent system that doesn't capture enough smoke. Would go again but likely takeaway only. Quite oily though so blotting advised.

Lovely location in York, a very pretty and cosy cafe but with more space than you'd expect. Extensive vegan menu - I had the Belgian pancake which had pear slices cooked into it and came with lotus biscoff spread and a choice of vegan whipped cream or ice cream. Absolutely delicious, one of the best meals I've ever eaten! They have savoury options as well for those without a sweet tooth.

This place a whole vegan menu with both savoury and sweet options! You can also have an iced coffee with vegan ice cream in which was lovely! I've had the sweet pancake with biscoff spread and then on a separate occasion had the fake bacon, apple and danish syrup on which was INSANE. It is very sweet and I couldn't quite eat it all but that's better than being left hungry! Would definitely recommend especially as vegan dessert choice in York is quite small!

Lots of vegan pancakes, I had the vegan Belgian (pear and biscoff with dairy-free ice cream), was a little dry and very sickly (but good sickly), it was delicious despite all that. There was a generous amount of biscoff and the atmosphere and staff was/were all very nice! Good for people on their own.

We visited here because there was an afternoon special deal on of £5 for a pancake and drink which is great value. York has become increasingly expensive, often being more expensive than London for many things so finding cheap places to eat is always good. I had the vegan biscoff pancake with a fruity drink. The pancake came sprinkled with icing sugar, a pot of biscoff spread and a little mouse made of a strawberry with vegan chocolate buttons for ears which was a really cute touch. Naturally it was really sweet but that’s what I was after! The pancake itself was a decent size and tasted good. I would definitely recommend to other people.

Really nice place with friendly staff. They cater for a range of dietary requirements and preferences including their brilliant vegan menu. The pancakes are spot on and next time I'll be trying one of their vegan milkshakes! My favourite pancake is the "belgian" which includes sliced pear, biscoff spread and comes with Swedish glace ice cream too.

It's so great to see somewhere that has a full vegan menu and not just one option. I had a pear and biscoff pancake with ice cream and a chocolate milkshake. The pancakes are huge and I would definitely recommend this place if you're in York.

Would really give this place a 3.5 star as I would have liked another pancake for the price, but having said that, it was great! Lots of vegan pancake options, they do Swedish glacie ice cream, a vegan Nutella and have lots of cool 'milk'shakes as well! They also do savoury pancakes for lunch time as well!

I found this place on accident and was thrilled to see their vegan menu posted in the window!! I ordered the French pancake (mushrooms, onions, and arugula). So good and hot the spot. The atmosphere is lovely. Dutch themed and quiet. Ordered a double espresso and the coffee was excellent as well. Will definitely come back and order a sweet pancake next time.
