Very vegan-friendly! We were immediately asked if we wanted the vegan or regular menu, which was a great start. The staff was super friendly, the selection of vegan options is huge, and everything we tried was really tasty. Definitely recommend!

We visited the Double Dutch Pancake house for breakfast and were surprised how many vegan options were there!

Ordered the smoky Dutch and it tasted brilliant, would definitely go back,
The staff were all friendly and helpful and didn't mind waiting a little longer while we tried decide which option to choose
The desert menu looked good but we were too full from breakfast go order desserts

I always loved pancakes so it’s great to find a place serving vegan ones! A separate menu gives you a lot of options, both savoury and sweet. The cafe is right in the centre, easy to find from all the main tourist spots. It’s quite small so go early for breakfast!

I'd never had a pancake before, especially not a savoury vegan one. I was delighted to see a full vegan menu, with so many options. I opted for 'The Veg One' and it was delicious. Like nothing I'd tried before, I could compare it to a lighter pizza; really nice.

The lightest and tastiest pancakes ever - Edit
I was a little worried before we came here that like most dessert places there would only be a couple of vegan options, but they ended up having an entire menu! So many of their food and drinks can be made vegan and the staff were very knowledgable on what I could and couldnt have. I ended up going for a pistachio hot chocolate (which was out of this world) and a build your own pancake with peanut butter and butterscotch sauce. The pancakes were so light and presented so beautifully. The server we had was also so so lovely and made the experience even better!

Extensive vegan menu and the best pancakes ever. Went back twice in two days. Tried two sweet pancakes and two savoury and every one was perfect, with the most incredibly fresh ingredients.

Enjoyed a breakfast pancake (served all day) with berry compote, maple syrup and vegan yogurt. It was really nice but I think it was a little expensive. They have a big vegan range on the menu which is great to see.

Read moreI had a savoury and a sweet pancake and they were both really really tasty but the highlight for me was the pear and hazelnut sweet one. The vegan nutella is absolutely to die for!!!
Staff were all really friendly too.
Only downside I would say it's quite expensive for how much food you get, it's not very filling.

Fantastic vegan range. Reasonable price but not very filling so you will want something else with it (like a dessert). Staff very friendly and welcoming. Quirky location and everything is very kitschy. Not a huge amount of tables so you will expect to have to queue for a table at peak times.

They might have meat options, but they have a full vegan menu, all the drinks have alternative milk available, and the food is to die for. Loveliest staff and just a really nice experience in general. Can’t wait to visit York again so I can come back to this place.

They have a seperate vegan menu which is enormous including sweet and savoury options, you can make your own combo too! I had the pear and biscoff pancake, utterly delicious with lovely vanilla ice cream.
