Very good vegan options

We have had the grilled cheese a couple of times, it is really good but only when it's fresh. I don't recommend getting it for takeout. I agree with a previous reviewer that it could use an additional something on it, like a slice of tomato, but it is still quite good as-is.

Also have tried both vegan tofu bowls, they're both really good as well, tho we preferred the one with the crispy tofu and Caesar (I think?) dressing, which was more flavorful than the other.

But our favorites here are the vegan eggplant soup, which we were not excited about from the menu description, but WOW it's so delicious! And the deserts, this time they had chocolate chip cookies (very good), chocolate crinkle cookies (wow awesome!) and vegan cupcakes (fantastic!).

They also have non-dairy milk for coffee (+$0.50 upcharge), and really good hand-cut fries.

Pros: Delicious, healthy vegan options, Clearly marked options on menu, Easy to drive to, lots of parking

Cons: Upcharge for non-dairy milk in coffee, Wish they had a tofu scramble for breakfast

Matter stop

Always a stop on our way north or south. It all looks good, but I always order the shashuka.

Good food and friendly staff

Good food and service with a nice countryside atmosphere. Plenty vegan choices! It will become a classic in our future trips between NYC and MTL.

Basic options available

Of course we had to test out more than one dish! The grilled cheese was ok, I felt like it could’ve used some seasoning added to it or even slices of tomato. We also had the vegan black bean bowl with rice instead of farro. This was also ok, a bit basic in spices for my personal preference but had a nice base flavor. Who can go wrong with fries topped with course salt. Last but not least, a beautiful chocolate cookie that was heavenly!! I should’ve gotten another for the road.

Pros: Clearly labeled options, Vegan desserts available

Nice spot

The food was delicious, and a friendly atmosphere. It would be nice if the vegan burger had a vegan bun, or an option beyond the bowls.

Tasty food, Cozy atmosphere

Great stop on our way north. I had the Crispy Tofu Bowl (which is vegan if you skip the spicy mayo) and was completely satisfied. Also split a Vegan Chocolate Crinkle cookie, which hit the spot. Enjoy the cozy atmosphere in a friendly restaurant!

Pros: Several Vegan Options, Friendly staff
