Serves meat, vegan options available. Offers classic Southern Indian dishes. Has a large vegetarian section in the menu, check which of these dishes are vegan or can be made vegan. Open Mon-Sat 11:00-22:30, Sun 12:00-22:00.
We didn't have the dosa so can't comment on that, but they have loads of vegan curries and the ones we had were delicious, if spicy. Lots of options with saag, yum yum 😋 Also the idli are great.
We had a sambar vada and a dosa for lunch. It’s different to those we enjoy in Bangalore and believe these may have been more Tamil Nadu style? The sambar was overly salty and vada less crispy than those from India. Enjoyable, simple and quick but unhappy they charged us above the menu price for the food. We were in a rush to get to station so couldn’t challenge.
Lots of vegan options.
Also head over to Cowley Road’s Dosa Darlings for some unconventional flavours in a premium setting.
Great dosas you have trouble finding in the states - Edit
This was the first place my wife an I ate at in Oxford and it was very good. We each got a different type of dosa that was well labelled for vegetarian an vegan options.
The Dosas were really tasty, nice and spicy, with lots of chutneys! and good price as well.
Surprisingly, it was the our favorite place to eat in Oxford.
This humble little gaff, more or less opposite Oxford train station, serves the best dosas in England; the vadas aren't half bad, either. No alcohol, I'm afraid, but ideal if you want a quick meal before catching a train.
