Great Food & Atmosphere - Edit
I ordered the vegan empanadas, vegan cheesestrak burrito, paloma margarita, and we all split an order of guac and chips.

The empanadas were out of this world. They were listed under appetizers so I expected them to be small, but they were much larger than anticipated which I had no problem with after tasting them.
Paloma margarita: Tasty, refreshing, and strong.
Guac & chips: The guacamole had great flavor, but there were a few chunks of unripened avocado which were off-putting. The chips had great flavor, but they were not fresh at all. Still, I've had much worse and I can't say no to guac and chips.
The vegan cheesesteak burrito was good, but I wished it had less peppers and more seitan and vegan cheese. Seems like the peppers overpowered all the other flavors. Because I did not expect the empanadas to be so large, I ended up taking only two or three bites of this at the restaurant and took the rest of it home. Next time, I will skip the burrito entirely and I'll get two orders of empanads... one for dinner and one to take home.
Service: We came on a Monday night and it was not crowded at all, but there seemed to be only one or two waitresses and the service was slow. I had reviewed the menu prior to coming and it specifically said their churros are not vegan. After dinner, I asked our waitress for a box to take home the burrito, and if they had any vegan dessert. She told me the churros are vegan without any hesitation. I asked if she is sure because of what I read online and she said she'll check with the chef and be right back. She came back with the to-go bag for my burrito and said nothing at all about the churros. I had to then ask her what the chef said and she told me that the churros are not vegan. This whole interaction really rubbed me the wrong way.

Cons: Slow service, Uninformed staff regarding vegan menu items, Lack of vegan dessert

Rating 4 because it's not fully veg- but such good Mexican food! We get all the sides (rice, beans, guac, salsa, etc) with tortillas and make them at home. Soooo good! Everyone in the family loves it, vegans vegetarians and omnis! It's so hard to find good Mexican on the east coast but I'm always so impressed here. Additionally, they have super sweet staff. We always do delivery, and sometimes want things they don't list online. They're always happy to add them and super awesome about allergies on top of everything!

We had the fall vegan special three course menu: jackfruit rolled tacos, eggplant street tacos, and chocolate cake. Everything was tasty. Loved each course but that cake—holy smokes it was good.

Loved the burrito bowl that I got! I got mine with the seasonal veg which was zucchini and corn, and I added vegan sour cream and pickled red onion. I will say the portion was a bit small for the price for Mexican food but it was super tasty and the veg seemed very fresh!

Read moreThey have numerous vegan options that are clearly marked. The seitan and smoked tofu fajitas are ridiculously good, we get them every time! And when they have their seitan wings on special you must order those too- very tasty! We've also had the nachos (vegan beef), tacos, chimichangas, and the tofu scramble (brunch menu) before....all very good. They have several vegan-friendly bean options as well. To bad the rice is only marked as vegetarian (which is annoying since there are 3 kinds!). :(
Never had a bad meal here and the staff is pretty good. This place is definitely worth the visit.

Get the seitan wings - Edit
The vegan seitan wings are not to be passed up here. Just the right amount of heat and the vegan ranch sauce they come with is amazing. We got two vegan cheesesteak burritos to go and splt one in half to share and it was delicious- tons of gooey daiya cheese, thin sliced peppery seitan strips, yuca wedges, lettuce and onions. Well, when we later split the second burrito it turned out to be just yuca, lettuce and onions. Very disappointing and a waste of $15.

LOVED IT! - Edit
This is a great little restaurant! What fantastic service. And the food was lovely. I tried the vegan cheesesteak burrito and it was awesome. The menu clearly marks vegan dishes. They even have vegan deserts on the menu. Ask for Wes as your waiter, too funny. I would give this place 5 stars if I could, but HC won't allow non-vegetarian restaurants 5 star reviews.
