With some Ukrainian dishes, they offer quite the unusual cuisine for vegans - not every day is it that you can eat Pilmeni, which I tried on my first visit here. They were amazing. Seriously, I am so happy to eat something new for a change...

Very sympathetic restaurant with original dishes - Edit
With Caucasian/ Oekraïnes dishes for a change there is an other option than burgers most of the restaurants come up with and I liked that Wareniki very much. Of course if you prefer burgers, they have them too. And very delicious pies for desserts.

Das Restaurant ist klein und fein, aber die Karte sehr groß. Da ruhige Gegend kann man angenehm draußen sitzen. Die Teigtaschen sinf sehr empfehlenswert und die Torten einfach ein Wahnsinn!

Friendly staff and incredible "burger" - Edit
In my few days in Dortmund I made my way here 3 times because it was so good. All the vegan items are labeled, which makes it super easy, and the staff all have better English than I have German so that was also helpful. The space is filled with cute art, pillows, and plants.
Read moreThe Doppeltsolecker burger was incredible - the seitan-base shavings are some of the most flavorful, tender "meat" I have ever had (I came back to try it again just to make sure it's always so good and can confirm!). The Wareniki (pierogies) were also very good, as were the vegan scrambled eggs.
If they had cold options for their cafe drinks, I probably would have gone for a slice of one of the cakes as they all looked decadent.

Eine kleine Auswahl an Gerichten, dafür aber super lecker. Da die Torten (alle vegan) sooo köstlich aussahen, mussten wir für den nächsten Tag natürlich etwas mitnehmen.....und sie haben geschmeckt, wie sie aussehen!!!! Köstlich!

Really tasty Burger with pulled soy, red cabbage, salad and mushrooms. Nice fried potatoes and a bit of salad. Girlfriend hat a huge bowl. Really delicious too, good dressing, but she missed some warm ingredients.

Das Doppeltsolecker hat eine kleine aber feine Auswahl an veganen Speisen. Der Salat sowie der Doppeltsolecker Burger waren einfach klasse. Die gute vegane Kuchenauswahl kann sich ebenfalls sehen lassen, da ist für jeden etwas dabei. Sogar ein roh veganer Brownie war im Angebot. Jedes Heißgetränk gibt es wahlweise mit Soja- oder Hafermilch. Sehr zu empfehlen !
