Wonderful donuts, kind owner

We had a totally killer raspberry frosted yeast raised donut. I’d go back for it in a heartbeat.

Donut Panic

The store owner is adorable. He will gladly tell you all of the vegan flavors. They have a wide variety, and carry numerous vegan options everyday. My absolute favorite is the lemon-glazed jelly donut! I do recommend going earlier in the day to get the donuts when they're most fresh.

Pros: Wide selection of vegan options, Creative flavors like Chai tea and Earl Gray tea

Creative but Stale

There are lots of flavors of vegan donuts, very creative. Unfortunately, they are not fresh. Every donut I've gotten here is stale.

Amazing Donuts & Service

Half of the store was vegan! Offered fresh donuts and day old donuts at a discount. Transparent and clear about which donuts were fresh and which were a day old. Very kind man working behind the counter who offered to explain each flavor to us. Great donuts with unique flavors. Highly recommend.

Wide variety of vegan donuts

Lots of vegan donuts to choose from. I don't recommend the day-old donuts because they are hard to chew. The donuts are generally on the small side. They are also very oily which you will soon see from the paper bag containing the donuts.

Pros: variety

Cons: oily

Lots of vegan options

Had a nice section of vegan donuts. They had cake and yeast donuts. I'm a yeast donuts favorite so was really happy they had both. I also saw they had bagels with vegan cream cheese or butter.

Pros: Fairly priced , Nice selection

Cons: Cake donuts our kind of dry

Lots of options

There were a lot of different donut options for vegans here which was nice. The donuts were normal fried donuts instead of cake donuts like most places which makes me super happy. They were a little dry but it was towards the end of the day so that could’ve been the culprit. Unfortunately nothing there was gluten free.

Pros: Lots of vegan donuts

Cons: No gluten free options

Best Vegan Donuts in South SD

Very awesome customer service! They have delicious yeast and cake based donuts! They have traditional flavors to really unique ones that have cardamom, Thai tea, and more! My go to vegan donut spot in San Diego! 😊

Pros: Lots of vegan option

Cons: Somewhat pricey if you buy a dozen donuts.

Down-home goodness

This mom-and-pop shop may not look like much on the outside or on the inside, but it offers dang good vegan donuts. Cake or yeast-raised, jelly-filled, sugar sprinkled, or with sprinkles. Sadly, we arrived before the apple fritters were ready. We chose the Thai tea glazed, lemon jelly-filled, Maple glazed Bavarian cream, chocolate glazed raspberry jelly, churro, and the last, which was my favorite, the Neapolitan (our singular cake donut). I mean a donut that really tastes like Neapolitan?! It blew my mind it was so good.

Best vegan donuts - when they have them

This place has the best vegan yeast-raised donuts in town, but they don’t have them often enough. It seems clear from the other feedback that the customers want yeast raised everyday, as opposed to the cake/yeast alternation. Hope that they take this into consideration for the future. Call ahead if you have your heart set on yeast raised because they don’t stick to their schedule.

Pros: The yeast-raised have the best texture

Cons: Inconsistent stock, Needs better service, Doesn’t take Apple Pay

Donut think I will go back

Friendly service, but not the tastiest donuts and could be a little cleaner inside.

Pros: Yeast and Cake Vegan Donuts, Day Old Half Off , Friendly Service

Cons: Pricey , Dry, Yeast donuts only available some days

Donut Panic is THE BEST

All these years I have lived a short drive from this place but I didn't find out about it until July 2018. It is by far my favorite vegan donuts I have had! I stick with the maple filled with bavarian cream and the lemon lavender, and I have never been disappointed! I have also had their pink cake w/ sprinkles, apple fritter, glazed bar, and the cardamom which were all great, I just tend to gravitate towards my classics. I would recommend everyone living in or visiting San Diego to check this out! It's also in a strip mall that has an all vegan convince store and a vegan bistro which we're also must do's

Glad for vegan donuts! Only spot around outside San Diego so that’s awesome, but not a lot to say about the place or staff. 5 stars for vegan

Pros: Good vegan donuts. , Vegan dairy substitutes , Next door to Mission market with vegan options

Yeast donuts never ready in the morning

The cake donuts are pretty good but kind of boring flavors. I’ve asked every time I’ve been what days they do yeasted vegan donuts, which is apparently Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday. I’ve gone on Sunday and Tuesday and both times they haven’t had the yeast donuts ready. So if you want those kind, go after 9:30am. The owner was also really sassy to me when I asked why they didn’t have yeast donuts today since it’s Tuesday and his response was that they have to make them and it takes time. Obviously you have to make them but all your other donuts are ready when you open, so why is it weird to expect those to be ready two hours after you open? He also told me that I couldn’t get a mixed half dozen of vegan and non vegan, but when I said you can’t charge me individually for each donut he was like oh yeah of course. ??? Just go next door to mission square market and get a treat instead.

BEST DONUTS IN SAN DIEGO

Actually, I'm a proponent of never calling anything the "best" because it is a subjective term that means nothing to you. That said, San Diego's Donut Panic makes what are by far my FAVORITE vegan donuts... anywhere. The raised donuts are a light, moist affair, with artisan quality crumb and classically curated glazes. The shop has a DIY / SciFi vibe with inclusive / low prices that keep me committed to the one of a kind donut shop.

I consider this a MUST TRY in San Diego.

Pros: Amazing Donuts

Great selection

Such a great selection of vegan donuts. I went it about 11 am on Sunday, and they had about 12-15 varieties still available. I got 4 different kinds, and ate two right away...delicious.

The shopping center doesn't offer bike racks, and the owner, who was very friendly, told me to bring the bike in, "no problem". Good customer service!

Pros: Affordable, good selection, friendly

Friendly

Friendly owner. Small selection of regular and vegan donuts. Specialty flavors were good. He was nice enough to bring a donut hole for my youngest baby. I left my wallet there and drove 30 minutes before I realized it. I returned and he had it safe and sound behind the counter. Thanks again. You guys were sweet like your donuts.

Pros: Friendly, Vegan options , Decent prices

Cons: Small selection

good donuts

I came in at 2:30 and they only had a few things left but luckily they were all vegan, the guy I talked to said something about tuesdays being all vegan with the exception of cinnamon rolls. I got an earl grey, and cinnamon sugar donuts, and they were a very good texture obviously not going to be straight out of the oven at 2:30 but it was a great vegan donut.

Lots of vegan donut options

Unlike most vegan donuts which are "cake donuts", this shop offers a large selection of traditional yeast-raised (aka normal) donuts on most days. Call ahead! Apple fritters are great. I especially loved the filled donuts (but I've only had them once because they're always sold out). Prices are cheap! But that's because the donuts are quite small (unlike Nomad Donuts' artisinal offerings, which are about double the size and double the price).

Pros: Cheap
