Mmmm good

A good friend told me about this place & how absolutely delish the lasagna was. He was right. It was unbelievably good. The lasagna & the killer queen pizza with the garlic sauce…yum. Will definitely come back.

Fabulous food

I had a great time celebrating my bday with friends there! The food and service are great! We git the ‘really good salad’ (which is really good but $16? Come on), mac n ‘ cheese (yumm), and fungazi pizza (so good, mushroomy). Then for dessert, because it was my bday, they gave me a nutella cheesecake slice for free (light in flavor for me, good texture). I thought about bringing my own (vegan) cake but they charge $5 per person to slice and plate it…not paying $20 (4 ppl) for that. Got the $12 cheesecake for free instead 😆.
I took off a star because the parking situation is difficult/confusing; I wasn’t sure where their lot and valet were. I went behind and it ended up being for the hookah lounge. Someone tells me the building a couple businesses down is available for them, idk. Also took off because the seating is very uncomfortable, especially for someone like me with back issues/disability. I suggested they offer a cushioned option.
I still look forward to returning because the food is fab!

Pros: Great vegan food, Good service

Cons: Expensive, Parking difficult, Seating uncomfortable

Tasty Italian!

So glad they opened another location here in Sherman Oaks! We got the hot shrooms to start, the lasagna, and the fungazi pizza. They were super good and filling! While their prices are high, their food and ambiance definitely make up for it.

Will be back!😄

Pros: All vegan!, Freshly made dough, Great ambiance

Cons: Expensive, Parking can be tricky

A MUST!

One of the best restaurants Iv ever been to! The food is excellent and the attention to detail is very pronounced. Iv never had better bread and garlic butter, as simple as it sounds it’s spectacular. I also recommend the hot mushrooms, the mushroom pizza, and the lasagna. Also the environment is warm and comforting and the staff are SSOOOOOOO attentive and thorough. I just can’t give this place enough praise. It’s a must!!

Pros: Comforting environment & food while still classy, Healthy meets comfort food, Attentive and warm staff

My new favorite LA area restaurant

I loved it! Great food, great atmosphere, great service, very friendly. I couldn't decide if the pizza was my favorite or the lasagna or the mac and cheese, they're all my favorites.

Pros: Excellent food, excellent service, easy location

Cons: a bit noisy as the restaurant was packed, would love restroom for more than 1 person

AAAAMAZING

Their wood fired pizza was incredible... The dough is to die for (you have to try their bread -- it is like heaven). The Spicy Schrooms were super "meaty" (meaning they had a lot of substance to them. Everything was great... Highly recommend... So excited to have a new vegan restaurant to go to that is cool!

Pros: excellent food, staff was informative, cool vibe

So incredibly fresh!

It’s so obvious that everything has just been made in the back, the freshness is amazing. The salad is beautiful and delicious, the bread and pizza are light and fluffy, the mac & cheese and lasagna rival the traditional versions. And the nut-based cheesecake with a generous dollop of amazing non-dairy whipped topping, is NOT to be missed.
I could eat a whole pie of that, lol. Even the water is delicious, obviously they use a high-quality filter.

There are lots of beautiful plants that add a nice calm vibe to the room. It feels very open and airy, There is a huge bar for eating solo or having a beverage while waiting for your table or hanging out after dinner. Really a lovely balanced layout.

There’s a good amount of street parking and a plaza across the street and if you’d like valet, that is available just one door north of the restaurant!

Nearly everything on the menu is available gluten-free. I think everything but the lasagna is soy free. So there are lots of choices for people with those concerns.

So glad this beautiful plant-based restaurant is finally open! It’s a great place to go and catch up with friends because the seating is well separated which gives nice privacy for conversation. It’s also the perfect menu for sharing several dishes, so everyone can try different things.😄

Pros: Fresh made, Filling but light, Many gluten/soy free options

Superb and comforting!

I was very excited for the opportunity to dine at the new Donna Jean Sherman Oaks location as we heard great things about the San Diego location for some time.
We were greeted by friendly, professional host and staff that were very accommodating. Our waitress was really cool and explained the menu details and options before ordering and overall provided some excellent table service.
For an appetizer we decided on the house bread. It had a delicious crust and a soft and delicious chew and paired really well with our second appetizer the ‘scratch house’ vegan cheese platter. The presentation of the cheese platter was impressive and features made from scratch specialty cheeses: Fresno jack, dill havarti, mozzarella and goat cheese. All the cheeses were phenomenal in taste and texture and our favorite was the goat cheese which was so smooth and flavorful!
For our main course we ordered the ‘really good salad’ and the pizza called ‘the world is a vampire’(kabocha squash purée, goat cheese, black kale, candied pumpkin seeds, truffle oil). The pizza was delicious and superb! The crust was light with a great texture and had a fantastic crunch. The undercarriage of the crust had a nice balance of crisp and browning. The toppings of squash purée was smooth and delicious and paired really well with the goat cheese. We were told the chef ferments the dough for 72 hrs which explains why the crust is so good and light!
I really look forward to exploring the menu some more in the future and overall I highly recommend you check this place out. The creativity and attention to detail in the food was most impressive and the vibe of the restaurant is nice and welcoming. If you decide to visit make sure to make a reservation in advance.
