Food made with love in a lovely restaurant - Edit

The restaurant is so beautiful. The interiors are done tastefully. It is a small and very cosy place, the people running the place are very friendly and loving their job.
The food was exceptional good, you could feel the love it was made with.
Google Maps found the road but not the adress, we had to walk to the other end of it.

Pros: vegan easy possible

Delicious and Colorful - Edit

Almost all the entrees can be made vegan, and all the desserts (save the ice cream) are vegan. The staff is very attentive, and the settings and decoration are pretty and colorful. A really nice place to eat. I will return.

cozy - Edit

Very nice environment. The place is colourful and the people are very nice. Mostly vegetarian, but they can adapt pretty much everything into a vegan meal.
Very pleasant after a summer day in Cascais.

Pros: tasty, friendly staff, close to the heart of Cascais

Nice for a light meal - Edit

The food was innovative, tasty, and refreshing. We had the bruschetta, which was roasted veggies with a white sauce on dark bread and came with a large salad with great salad dressing. We also like the Plate of the Day, which was tofu curry with rice - it had an interesting flavor that seemed to be unique to this area. The staff were really friendly!

Pros: Innovative, Tasty, Refreshing

Nice - Edit

I visited this place once and took take away option. Really nice staff, tasty food, def worth visiting. They are a bit further from the main center but it is still close, so def check out. No garden so you need to sit inside. I tried buckwheat with dates, very tasty.

Pros: tasty food, friendly staff

Cons: a bit further

Good curry, small portion - Edit

We both had the chickpea curry and had to share a small portion of rice. The curry cost 8.5euros, so I felt the pricing was a little unreasonable. That said, the curry was tasty, though could have been a little spicier.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the decor was lovely. A decent place to have a light lunch.
Few vegan options as most dishes contained cheese.

Pros: friendly staff

Cons: small portion sizes

Good looking cafe that has vegan cakes - Edit

Lovely cafe and a lovely Brazilian owner. One night a bought take away vegan apple cake and next day I had a cappucino and raw avocado cake.

Inside the cafe there is a small vegan food shop and next door there is a vegan shoe and clothes shop Sapato Verde.

Vegan food only on certain days - Edit

This is a very pleasant little cafe with a daily set menu. It is important to note though that a vegan menu is only available on certain days of the week. Alas I turned up on a Wednesday and was out of luck because Tuesday was vegan day. That said there was delicious vegan cake available and the service was extremely friendly.

Pros: vegan cake, friendly service, lovely relaxed cafe

Cons: vegans only catered for on some days

Sapato Verde 22 Jun 2016 - Hi Jayneisastarr :)
We are happy to say that Dona Flor Café & Bistrô went vegetarian/vegan since the end of May!
Not only vegans have a lot of options now, but inside the Café there is a vegan market called Green Beans ;)
