Wish There Were More Vegan Options!!

I love Domus Fare for its excellent comfort food and its awesome people. Their Vegan Breakfast Burrito is wonderful (and even more special when you ask them to put hash browns or falafel IN the burrito), the vegan chili is hearty and flavorful, and they make awesome falafel. If they had more vegan options, I’d be here all the time! As it stands, this is my go-to for breakfast when hosting out-of-town omnivores! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Pros: Vegan-friendly, Awesome staff & service, Small, local business

Cons: Not enough vegan options

Great vegan breakfast burrito!

Domus Fare appears to be a well established diner. They were very busy when I got there, shortly before noon, so it was about a 20 minute wait for my food. While I waited I noticed the staff greet customers by name and were very friendly although a bit visibly stressed (I heard them thank an employee for coming in to help). They have mostly traditional diner food, a good handful of vegetarian options, but limited options labeled vegan (the vegan breakfast burrito and vegan chili). However, the vegan breakfast burrito was very, very good and I'll definitely stop here again on my way through Fredonia. It was in a spinach wrap that they gave a really great, uniform crunch to. It comes with a choice of hashbrowns or home fries, both of which they told me are made vegan. I ordered fruit on the side which was really fresh, hand cut fruit rather than something from a can. It was also obvious that their home fries, and everything in the burrito was fresh cut. No vegan egg option, but the scrambled tofu in the burrito was great, as was whatever vegan cheese they use.

Pros: Friendly staff, Good prices, excellent quality, Limited, but really good vegan options

Cons: Very dark, non-updated setting, A small wait/Busy at lunch time, even on a weekday, Limited vegan options (but still very good)

Get the vegan chili !!!

First stopped in just because it was listed on Happy Cow. Love, love, loved the vegan chili. Dennis and Isaac are the 2 chef/owners worth whom we've had great conversations on subsequent visits for more of the vegan chili!
If you want to eat vegan in Fredonia, give this place a try. Let them know you appreciate what they have so far, and your vegan patronage will encourage them to add more options.
On Oct 15 2016 Domus Fare made the main course (lentil pilaf and risotto cakes) for Fredonia Progressive Dinner (vegan event). Now they frequently offer vegan specials.
