Great Vegan Dominican Food and Bodega - Edit
So excited to have another plant based restaurant in Johnstown! It's a wonderful "build your own plate" type place that makes it very easy to take out. We got the pastelon (Dominican Lasagna) and Moro de guandales (rice and pigeon peas in coconut milk and spices) with kidney beans and sweet plantains. Everything was super flavorful and so fresh tasting. We will definitely be back soon!
Read moreThe restaurant itself is colorfully decorated and inviting. Service was friendly and the food was very reasonably priced with generous portions. There is also a bodega area with grab and go plant based products. We'll be back soon!
Update: It was so good we went back the next day. Got the rice and black beans with a thick eggplant cutlet breaded to perfection with panko breadcrumbs and fried to perfection. My husband chose the "steak" tips which were tender and flavorful and included cooked peppers.
