Fuimos para merendar un par de rollitos que tenían fuera de menú (de nutella y pistacho) con café y un plato salado para compartir del panuozzo italino y la propietaria fue tan extremadamente amable de darnos a probar de la tortilla y sus nuevos alfajores. Todo extremadamente bueno y con mucha influencia italiana en los dulces. La mejor merienda que haya tomado y todo genial de precio para la calidad. Hiper recomendable.

This tiny café is packed with delicious treats. Not only that, but the woman who runs it is such a warm welcoming person that you feel instantly at home. I ended up tripping on the patio outside and breaking a teapot and a plate and she generously made me feel like it happens all the time. I tried four different treats, including the cream filled croissant, snd all were the best versions I had ever had.

Best vegan bar de barrio - Edit
When I lived in Madrid, 6-7 years ago, Ester had the bar just by the bridge, and only offered sweets. I was so happy to see that not only she got a new venue, but also that it's a top rated restaurant in Madrid. For the bar de barrio concept that she was looking for, such ratings are extraordinary, and can't be compared to other restaurants.

When we visited, she had also prepared a melanzane parmigiana panuozzo, which we also tried. Delicious, I have no words! The desserts are also to die for. We had the pistachio and chocolate cold cake and cinnamon roll with hazlenut cream (an amazingly generous quantity). We're still dreaming about the desserts. Ester is also extremely generous and friendly, and gave us croissants to have breakfast the next day. We had a great conversation with her. Please, visit if you're nearby, you will be so grateful to have done so!!

Better yet, before I left the staff gave me a Pinxo de tortilla - I NEVER thought I’d taste this again in my life, least of all so fresh (still warm).
Couldn’t recommend this cafe more, gutted I only found it on my last day in Madrid, but I will certainly be returning.

It’s rare for me now to find vegan places in Madrid I haven’t already heard of but I was in for a treat last weekend.
Read moreMy friend took me here and I was thoroughly impressed! Never seen such a huge range of drinks in my life! Milkshakes, matcha, blue lattes (and several other colours)! It’s been a while since I had a milkshake and before I was vegan they were my favourite. Tried it and loved it! Also had a cheese and ham sandwich which was great!
Finally, impeccable service! The person working there was the nicest person ever and was so friendly, hospitable and keen to show all the variety of drinks to each customer despite being the only staff member in a busy cafe. Loved everything about the place. Beautiful location too.

Ahhh fresh apricot croissants and pistachio crème filled croissants are the best! Prices are terrific, and you’re right next to a beautiful walking/running path alongside the river. Staff were so sweet and helpful despite my Spanish not being so great!

La verdad se merecen más que 5 estrellas, más bien 10 o 20...! En serio. La dueña es MUY simpática, se nota que lo hacen todo con amor, toda la comida la preparan ellos y el resto de productos que puedes comprar en la tienda los traen directo de Italia. El amaretti vegano... pensé que no existía pero sí, y sólo en este sitio lo encontrarás. La crema de piñones es una pasada, no querrás más comer Nutella (vegana o no) después de haberla probado!!! Realmente de los mejores sitios veganos que pueda recomendar en Madrid, por la atención tan espectacular que me dieron. Bravissimo!!!!!

A must visit in Madrid - Edit
I am very happy to be back to check the new dolce and vegana and it is just perfect. They offer a wide selection of sweet goods, and serve it in a very eye pleasing way. All the items are genuine italian and outstand the offer of other cafeterias. Definitively one of the best vegan places in Madrid.

It is a tiny place, some type of coffeshop/bakery with only "to go" goods. When I visited them, they had mostly ice cream and a few selection of sweets. The icecream was very good, however the selection was mainly limited to sorbets. I would like to have some piece of cake, too, but they were gone.
The place is OK as there is no vegan cafés in the neighbourhood, but I miss some more variety in the selection of sweets

My girlfriend and I visited Dolce y Vegana multiple times. For breakfast, they have churros and other vegan pastries (mostly brought in from other bakeries) accompanied by inventive lattes. I wasn't overly impressed by this. We stopped in later for a sweet treat. Dessert is where this place really shines. They have a variety of cakes in a glass case as you walk in. I had a peanut butter and chocolate cake that I will never forget: so moist and fudgy. A little out of the way, but it may be the best dessert in the entire city.
