Loads of veggie and vegan options! - Edit

Only one fewer veggie burgers than non-veggie. All the veggie burgers can be made vegan without the cheese, and by substituting a white olive bun for the brown one (which contains lactose), but the staff are really knowledgeable about it. Starters include battered onion rings, battered vegetable tempura (which is peppers, onion and courgette), and crispy potato chips/crisps (although the latter come with the burgers anyway). There is also a vegan salad available. You normally get a garlic mayo dip with the meals and starters, but the staff brought me ketchup, a spicy orange dip and a really hot chilli sauce since I couldn't have the mayo.

You'll also find a selection of booze, inclusing white, red or champagne sangria, various gins, beers, fresh juice drinks and shakes. We went on a saturday evening at around 8pm and it was quiet, but I have a feeling it gets busy, and it stays open until 3am, like many of the bars in the surrounding Bairro Alto streets on a Saturday night. It was a really pleasant experience and as we were treated really well, we'd definitely recommend you try it!

Pros: Lots of options and great staff.

Cons: Ummm... I can't think of any.

amazing vegan burgers! - Edit

It took us a while to find this place...turns out our map was slightly off! Well worth the hour hunting around bairro alto! It was really chilled out and the owner was lovely! The burgers often have cheese but just ask and you can have it without. I had a really good basil tofu burger, my husband had a Mexican seitan burger. They come with homemade crisps yum! All burgers are only 8 euros so very cheap n cheerful!! Would definitely recommend!

Pros: cheap, tasty, chilled out

Dog Down Dirty - Edit

Do you enjoy the amazing Mardi Gras atmosphere of Lisbon's Bairro Alto after dark when the kids have gone to bed? Do you enjoy a Caipirinha (or two) walking around the packed streets of Lisbon old town? Do you fancy a burger? Yes. Well, get yourself down for a delicious dirty burger at this full on burger joint. Succulent Seitan and Tofu burgers are at your finger tips at fair prices in a very friendly and hip environment. Choose from 5 different uniquely named and beautifully presented burgers at €8 each. Be warned - they are huge! I would also suggest you get the fries. Why should vegetarians miss out on this experience in the bustling early hours of Portugal's very own Rio de Janeiro? The burgers are seriously great here and prepared with a friendly face. Enjoy and feel at home in one of the most amazing cities that Europe has to offer. It's open until 02:00 most days and at least 03:00 at weekends, so there's no rush.

Pros: great great burgers, good value, great atmosphere

Cons: meat
