Delicious!! - Edit
They had 2 fully vegan appetizer options and 1 that could have the cheese removed. The main of mushrooms on white bean mash was delicious!! Highly recommend for a nice meal ☺️

Five Star Meal - Edit
We shared a wonderfully thoughtful and tasty seed to table vegan meal. Vegan options are clearly labeled. The small grocery store also has a large array of vegan options for sale at reasonable prices. I would give this restaurant five stars.

Delicious vegan options! - Edit
Although there aren’t many options (all originally come vegetarian), they sure are delicious! The menu probably changes often since they are a farm-to-table restaurant. The ciabatta was so incredibly soft, crispy, and fresh. Served warm. Originally comes with butter, but the vegan option is oil and balsamic vinegar.
Read moreThe roasted roots vegetable dish was surprisingly delicious. Beets, carrots (I think), pear, hazelnuts, in a guajillo vinaigrette. No idea what guajillo is but it reminded me of a less spicy harissa.
Chickpeas main was so delicious too. Best chickpeas I’ve ever had! They were so buttery and smooth. The kale was perfectly crispy.
Oh also, when we drove up we completely thought the place was a little shack/shed that the sign was attached to. It’s down the little path. The gift shop is cute too! Lots of vegan products! The cashier was vegan too, and recommended this place.
Pros: Healthy farm-to-table food, Beautiful view, Friendly staff
Cons: Expensive, No vegan options on menu (ask for veg) 3/14/2020

Vegan options, but hit or miss - Edit
We have dined here a couple times in the past year. We made reservations with vegans noted. The first time, the chef made a special mini appetizer of mushroom pate. We also had toasted garbanzos with veggies, and main dish was a noodle bowl. Sometimes they have an open mic with ethnic menu, African when we were there last. They had one app and one main that were vegan. We requested a side of fufu that was part of another dish that wasn't vegan, and they accommodated. All was good, but the portions were small. Our kids were still hungry, so we asked for extra rice that came with the main dish, but the kitchen was out and it was too long to wait for the next batch.

Pros: Vegan items indicated on menu, Seasonal produce from their garden or local farms
Cons: Sometimes small portions

Wonderful - Edit
We wish Happy Cow allowed us to give this 5 stars, because their food and service were fantastic.
Read moreWe did not have a reservation, but the were able to seat us anyway. Two delicious vegan entrees on the menu, and both were delicious. There wasn't a vegan dessert -- but get this -- the chef took it upon himself to create one for us, and came out of the kitchen to present it to us in person.
We'll come back here again for sure.

C'mon micro, "idiot"? It's one thing to sign up on a website to give your family/friends a boost and to lie about veganism to make it look better, but to berate other reviewers seems uncalled for. In the time it took you to sign up here, review, slam me, post your food porn, I would have still been on the phone with them making sure they could serve our party; apparently with someone they let answer phones and talk to chefs they prefer no to. But they had the note, they had my phone number, they could've called me to cancel or let me know I could ONLY eat almonds or the worst pile of crap radish dish. Think how you would feel after the ferry shuffle. Your interest here is protecting/boosting someone you know. My interest, and what's been my interest on Happycow since it got going, is to inform fellow vegans where they can have a reliably good meal, especially in far reaches like this so they can take appropriate measures to feed themselves. This place, DBC, is a joke! Thanks for mentioning the bathroom situation bc that has to violate ordinances. If you weren't otherwise invested you or anyone else would be offended and shocked by their dismissal of their guests' needs. Shameful.

liars - Edit
I made a reservation a month in advance. The call lasted 15 to 20 minutes since we have some special needs that needed to be clarified. All points were checked with the person I talked to in front of house to the chefs and all points were cleared.
Read moreUpon entering the waitress told me that despite the notes on the reservation they were only willing to serve me olives or nuts. Oh, and a modified kale salad (the usual one has way much dairy etc). I was promised a real meal; the lady was telling me essentially to go take a hike. I told her I don't eat olives and I had cashews and walnuts in the car. After telling her how pissed I was she said the chef would make something for me, which was rice noodles and radishes. Odd combo? Yea, it sucked.
The waitress accused me of talking w someone not qualified to take my reservation and that I was mistaken in the context and content of the call. I waited and heard on the call her asking for clarity. They accused me, an insult topping insult. Whatever
This place is for fake hippies who think yoga is for the upper crust who enjoy killing animals and taking from them. Their homemade bread isn't even vegan, they egg wash it. Well thanks a lot! That sure doesn't alienate the seekers of light you claim to be and serve. They lied to every person that came in, also. A couple wanted a table and said their empty cafe was fully booked.
If you are into fake ass phonies who like to kill fish and take from animals like its going out of style so you can eat bland ass poorly cooked noodles while your omni amigos slurp their flesh on your face, then this place is for you! Or pay $10 for a bowl of almonds...
ITs as though they want to be Breitenbush, but Bbush is vegan. Wtf! What yogi kills as many animals as you? Demeans the plant eaters?!
I would suggest that you find alternatives closer to everywhere else, this place is infuriating. false-hearted fakers. Dont fake the funk, dont call yourselves a yoga retreat, just say a place for brutality run by brutal bullies.
Pros: view
Cons: funk fakers, liars & phonies, animal killers

Reminded of the gross bathroom across the street everyone was forced to use. It is shared by their commune or whatever- tribe of fake yogis who kill lots of animals. Anyhow, isn't there a code for CLEAN and Functional bathrooms? Pretty sure there is, maybe someone should let them know.
