Dobra Kasza Nasza

There aren't many places where you can eat a proper vegan meal in Zakopane (2 at the moment?), so of course this place is a must-go. :) Still, the food could be a bit more diverse and less heavy on the stomach - even though the dishes that we tried tasted really good. :)

Fo me it's the best restaurant in this city. Before I ate there I wasn't huge fan of groats. But their meals are just perfect. Tasty and beautiful served. After whole day of mountain trekking I highly recommend you visit this place. Really big portions, home and cozy atmosphere will help you relax.

Zakopane is mainly a meat haven! It is a beautiful mountain town with amazing Tatra Mountains all around you. Only not great eats for vegetarians. Nice cakes and sweets everywhere, but for main meals its slim pickings!
Dobra Kasza Nasza offers delicious baked dishes, with TWO veggie options. The best is the broccoli-corn baked kasha. You can ask for which kasha you prefer. Buckwheat groats or peal barley. i liked the barley one. They have a choice of grated salads, typical of Polish cuisine.

It is in no way a vegetarian place, plenty of meat served there. However, what they do have that is vegetarian is very tasty. If you are Vegan ask for the tomato sauce instead of creamy garlic sauce.

Unfortunately this is not vegan friendly town. You may be able to find vegetarian stuff but most places can't provide ingredients of their dishes. This place has 3 options that can be veganized, no desserts available. Food Is ok but nothing special. Service slow. Make sure not to sit outside in the far corner or you won't get too good service.
