Nice food, inconsistent service - Edit

This place is a bit more upscale than some other quan chay options in the city. The prices are correspondingly higher too, but you're paying for the nice environment and personal service etc.The food was pretty good (the lettuce rolls we had as appetizers were sensational) and the other dishes were good too, but it was spoiled a bit by taking so long to arrive and the times between different dishes arriving being HUGE: the tofu thing we'd ordered was cold by the time the veg and rice arrived about half an hour later. Bit disappointing in the end, though the food was pretty tasty.

Pros: Good food , Nice environment, Welcoming

Cons: Bit pricey, Service not great

interesting place! - Edit

You'll see a huge sign on Cao Thang street saying VEGAN FOOD - the restaurant is down an alley (about 100m in). Big restaurant, good vibes, large menu. I tried different ice cream flavours, they only had a few available today although the menu has over 8 flavours. The coconut was nice, but the chocolate tasted like coffee and the waitress assured me it was chocolate (not totally convinced!)
Id go back again to try the mains as everything on the neighbouring tables looked great!
I also highly recommend you pass by the traditional medicine (FITO) museum as it's very close :)

Pros: nice space, great prices, many options

Cons: the staff's English is almost nil so don't complic

Nice atmosphere - Edit

Google Maps is a bit crap on this one, so keep an eye out for the banners. The atmosphere here is cool and serene. The staff are helpful, but I had trouble making myself understood with my limited Vietnamese. I ordered spring rolls with mushroom and seared rice. This turned out to be more food than I expected. I also ordered a smoothie and when I asked if it contained milk, the staff took it away, thinking I simply didn't like it. I eventually managed to make myself clear and found out it was coconut milk in the smoothie. The spring rolls were delicious but came with a huge amount of rice noodles, which for me was just excessive. The rice dish was not to my taste, very sweet and vegetables with a texture I didn't like very much. Because the restaurant is a bit fancy, I'd maybe take a friend here to try some other dishes.

Pros: Nice atmosphere

Cons: Some dishes average

Vegan ice cream and cheese - Edit

Just happened to pass this place by accident on our way to a museum. My eye was suddenly caught by a sign saying "vegan ice cream" and as I felt like I was melting I felt a need to explore. We had only just eaten lunch, so our group only tried the ice cream (coffee ice cream which was really good!), some spring rolls and also the appetiser "vegan grilled cheese sandwich", can highly recommend! Am thinking about revisiting the place before leaving HCMC though - they had an extensive menu with many interesting dishes I would like to try.
The restaurant may lie a bit out of the way of the usual tourist, but is well worth a visit. Friendly staff, what we tasted of the food was delicious, not too expensive, the restaurant is very spacious and tastefully decorated.

Pros: extensive menu, not too expensive
