Greasy and tasty

We were driving through Astoria and decided to check out this food truck.
The food was pretty good, especially the burger. "Fish and chips" was a bit bland but filling. The salads were delicious with some kind of "caesar" or "ranch" type dressing.
We also tried corndogs for the first time, and they were really good. I am not sure what the regular ones taste like but these ones were pretty flavourful.

One thing to watch out for is their hours. Online it said that they close at 3:30pm, we actually got there later and they were still open. I wonder if that was a special occasion.

delicious vegan food truck!

We tried just about everything - corn dog, chili cheese fries, fish and chips, crunchy hippie (veggie burger), and tostada and they were all excellent! Lavender lemonade was great too.

Amazing

I went for the first time this weekend with my Mother and sister, who are not vegetarian or vegan, and they where just as impressed with the food as I was a as vegan. I had the crispy hippie, which I will for sure be eating again, as well as some bites of my mothers salad so I could taste it. It was also very good. I'm very happy to have this option in Astoria. They have a place to sit inside if it's raining as well. Can't wait to eat there again!

Pros: indoor seating option , very fairly priced , super friendly

Vegan!

Have been there twice now, Had lunch there today. I had the hippie burger with potato salad and kale salad. He even threw in some fries. Was very good! If I lived closer I would go there frequently especially knowing he has all vegan food. So hard to find places like this.

Pros: All vegan food., Nice vibe., Good portions.

Cons: Too far away.

unexpected and awesome

So there I am in a city which I have frequently visited for both pleasure and work. I had just finished the latter and was going for a nice run through town. Out of no where I was hit with the spectacular vision of a Vegan food cart in Astoria of all places. I had just eaten my packed sandwich prior to embarking on my run but as is the tradition when you run into an unexpected vegan place you stop and eat. The staff/service were incredible and they recommended I try the phish and chips. Needles to say I was not disappointed. I ended up consuming a snicker doodle, taking a slice of apple pie, and some potato salad to go both were delightful. I will be back but next time with an empty stomach and I will have some company.

Pros: great food, reasonable prices, great service

A vegan food cart at a coast town!!? sign me up!

Most Oregon coast towns are weak sauce when it comes to vegan options, but here DJ has gone and changed that up and opened a cart that is all vegan! They serve up standard comfort food stuff and it's all great. I had the philly cheesteak and my wife had the Mac attack and they were both awesome. The food came out quickly too. We will be back!!

Pros: all vegan, fast

Cons: absolutely non

Vegan eating on the coast!

Astoria, OR now proudly has a vegan food cart again! I've only eaten here once, to-date. The cart is cooperatively-owned (which means that it's pretty likely that an owner is going to be making and serving your food) and the food is delicious. I'm looking forward to trying more off the menu.

Vegans never say die

We were in Astoria for the Goonies 30th anniversary and this place saved us. We ate here three times in two days. It's messy food truck deliciousness. The Crispy Hippie was my favorite.

Chili Cheese Fries Taste Good

New place in Astoria - got to try them out early on and was pleased. I like the diversity of the menu and hope to try more items. I eyeballed a bunch of other dishes but had to try the chili cheese fries, especially after I saw a video of them making their beer-cheese sauce. I was only disappointed after they ran out. My husband wishes he'd ordered some as I wouldn't share...much.

When they opened, they were using honey, but after members of the vegan community expressed concern, my understanding is that they removed honey from the kitchen/menu. So I also appreciate their responsiveness.

Pros: Location, Taste, Price

Sloppy Jane recommended :)

I visited DJ's Vinyl Vegan food cart in Astoria on their first official day they were open. They were fabulous, the people were friendly! My dining partner and I both got the Sloppy Jane that consisted of house made sunflower sausage, topped with sauteed onions and peppers with their beer cheeze on a scorcher bun. It was delicious. I wish it came with a side, but other than that, awesome!
