Woot woot DIX!

Great food, great deals, in the same location as MeeT Gastown was, so Ⓥ kitchen remains vegan!

The salad was exceptional and lots of food. Everything tasted good and every dish had a “special something” which I didn’t expect for $10/plate. For example the edemame had a fun nutritional yeast topping, the rigatoni had capers and feta style cheese, the salad had roasted artichokes and feta style cheese. Servings were surprisingly large imo for $10. I’d say skip the non-alcoholic bevies since they are $10 (like everything else) and that’s overpriced for the non-alcoholic drinks and maybe skip the tacos? But I’m not a taco fan so … enjoy good food at an affordable price!

Sad to learn last night that Dix was a smart play by the MeeT owners to bring in more $ at the location before the lease ran out. They’ll be closing next week! But it was a hit so owners are considering new locations for Dix.

Great spot - gf options

I went with two teens and we had blue lemonade and we ordered a lot of food. Everything is $10, even drinks. The mocktails were large jars. Serving size for the food was individual sized. Some items had a $3 charge to make them gluten free. We did the smash burger skillet, rosemary frites, onion rings, and rigatoni. They were all delicious and the service was excellent. There was a movie playing on the screen while we ate. We all agreed it was a great meal with cool ambiance!

Dix Under Promises and Over Delivers

What can you expect for $10? Every food item and every drink is $10.

I'll tell you what I expected: not much. But I was continuously surprised by the high quality and service. Friendly servers, good music, and dishes that do not disappoint. Most of the alcoholic drinks appeared to be doubles.

The dishes are tapas style size, so you will want to order more than one if you are there for dinner, but even with ordering two dishes per person, this is a very reasonably priced place to eat.

My partner and I ordered the onion rings, the Tuscan Rigatoni, the Chick'n Quesadilla, and the Smash Burger Skillet. Not one dish was a disappointment. We thought they were all delicious. Companions ordered the Teriyaki Chick'n Burger and the Swap Chick'n Strips and reported they were both tasty.

For a drink, we ordered the Pickle Pool, which is a beautiful drink, like nothing I have ever tasted. Think pickle juice and gin.

Dix made a smart decision having their simple, two panel, paper menus with food on one side and drinks on the other, making it much easier to keep ordering food and drinks over having to scan a QR code and enlarge sections to read the offerings.

I recommend going with a group and ordering everything on the menu to share. You won't be disappointed.

If you are looking for a fun, club-like atmosphere and tasty, inexpensive fare, your companions will thank you for introducing them to Dix.

Pros: Delicious fare., Inexpensive price. , Fun, club-like atmosphere.

Cons: Does not open until 5pm--no lunch., Music is a bit too loud., Menu has only 11 items, including appies & dessert

Vibes & bar bites

This was a fun find in Gastown, tucked away off the street inside of a little shopping courtyard. A black-and-white Miyazaki was playing on the front wall and a Lords of the Rings VHS was playing behind the bar on an ancient tiny, grainy crt TV. The bar bites are all vegan, all $10. The tacos were beautifully presented and really tasty. The thick cut fries were also tasty, but maybe not worth $10, so order wisely. The drinks were also good and the service was swift, helpful, and very friendly.

Dix

Lovely service, the staff are all lovely people. I’m super happy that another vegan spot opened in the place. However, I don’t think every item on the menu is worth $10. The chicken quesadillas were so small.. and bare. I definitely think the menu needs to be redone in some ways.

Love the vibe - food was okay

In the location where Meet-Gastown(edit) was.
Cute vibes, nice place to go for a drink and pub food.

Found a lot of the food was salty and/or oily - but it's 10$ a plate.
Quesadilla was the best. Love the GF options.

Meet in Yaletown is still around. I think the reviewer meant it’s where Meet In Gastown used to be.

So fricken good

I was happy to see this place is still all vegan even after Meet closed. Since everything is $10 we didn’t have the highest expectations, but everything was so delicious. It was probably the best quesadilla I’ve ever had!
