Distrito Vegano

Vine porque me hablaron de unas croquetas de cocido riquísimas y la verdad todos los adjetivos se le quedan pequeños, las mejores croquetas de todo Madrid.

El trato amable y la atención de primera

y para terminar, la música que nos acompañó ha sido verdaderamente agradable, una razón demás para volver al este sitio.

Lo recomiendo encarecidamente.

The best "croquetas" i've ever ever had. The food was amazing and home-made. The staff was really friendly and they explained me all the offer. I strongly recommend the cakes.

Es un sitio pequeño por lo que hay que reservar para poder comer o cenar, y aunque esto no tiene porqué ser un handicap, si lo es cuando algunos de los espacios para comer son mesas y taburetes altos, que para mi gusto son un poco incómodos.

La carta es pequeña pero la comida que elegí estaba buena (recomiendo las croquetas de "chorizo" y las de espinacas y champiñones), aunque la hamburguesa que elegí debía tener pan de mollete y al final me pusieron otro tipo de pan que no me gustó mucho.

Por otro lado, tardaron bastante en traernos la carta y en tomarnos nota, y luego también en servir el plato principal, con lo que la comida se alargó más de lo esperado... y al hilo de lo que explicaba antes del espacio del local, la camarera (antes de pedir los postres) nos dijo, muy amablemente eso si, que si nos podía cobrar porque había gente con reserva esperando. Y bien, si es culpa mía porque tardo en comer pues lo podría entender, pero en este caso concreto la comida se alargó porque sencillamente tardaron en servirnos (de hecho nos trajeron un aperitivo entre el entrante y el principal sin pedirlo nosotros....).

Esto es una realidad y me pasó a mí, aunque también quiero pensar que sencillamente los planetas no se alinearon a mi favor y no era mi día para ir a Distrito Vegano. En cualquier caso, y como opinión personal creo que necesitan mejorar bastante.

I just went there to have a cupcake, and it is so tough finding vegan cupcakes places in Madrid... The cupcake was so good I doubled back and ordered a second one! I will definitely eat there one day, but if you are not so hungry and are in Lavapiés, you should definitely taste their cupcakes jeje ♥

Restaurante pequeño pero acogedor. Con un trato cercano a los clientes. Comida muy variada y huyendo de los tópicos de que el veganismo es solo ensaladas y verduras. Tienen tartas y postres variados. Precio muy bueno y plato de día entre semana.

After reading the reviews on happycow, I decided to visit this restaurant during my stay in Madrid. I had the opportunity to visit Madrid many times before and almost all the experiences I've had there were very nice. This is not the case.

The menu has not much variety, but at least everything is vegan.

The question is what you get for what you pay. The portions are really small. From the hamburgers to the "to share/compartir" items. For example, I ordered "patatas com salsas" for 7Eur. They brought 10 slices of roasted potatoes to the table and they were already cold... In any corner in Madrid you find better than this.

The hamburgers, I would classify them as nothing special... and again, small and a kind of undressed. 10Eur.

I didn't see the menu before and I was expecting to have a bit more of Spanish vegan flavours, instead, they focus on hamburgers and hot dogs. Not the kind of experience I look for.

But the biggest issue, the thing that really bored me, was that the staff brought the bill to the table without I have asked for it. They said they had reservations... but the place was actually empty and I didn't spot anyone around waiting... They essentially invited us to leave. Really unpleasant.

Just to finish my review. I would not recommend this place. Food is average and it is not representative of the nice spanish flavours you may find in other vegan restaurants in the city.

There are many other veg options in the neighborhood. Just avoid a bad experience not going to Distrito Vegano.

Este nuevo local vegano abierto en una zona menos concurrida de Lavapies tiene mucho que ofrecer.
Es un bar pequeñito así que si vais a ir a una hora concurrida de comida o cena os recomiendo llamar para reservar. Todo lo que sirven está hecho por ellos mismos a excepción de la salchicha del perrito.

Desde su apertura ya he ido dos veces aunque todavía no he tenido la ocasión de poder ir con compañía para probar los entrantes. Pero sí me he puesto fina con el perrito chileno, la primera vez y la segunda con la hamburguesa de remolacha, la cual me recomendó Pablo (el camarero) que probara con guacamole. Ambas cosas están tremendas y llenan bastante, mención especial a la hamburguesa que después de muchos tira y acierta con su receta, como me comentaron, han dado con una fórmula perfecta.

Volveré más veces, con acompañante y hueco para el postre porque me reservo la quinta estrella para cuando le hinque el diente a la tarta de zanahoria. No sabéis que pintaza, la estaban sirviendo recién hecha frente a mis ojos y yo sin demasiada hambre :(

We enjoyed so much yesterday dinner. Food is really good quality, not many dishes, but the three we tried were awsome: humus variety was amazingly good, we loved them three, but spicy mango touch my heart; Soya hot dog was really well accompained with chucrut and guacamole, that im still salivating...; and betroot burguer was huge!
We could not try desserts as we were full up, but we will come back for more!
Service was excelent, the waiter was very polite and helpfull.
They also have painting expositions on the walls for helping different santuaries or vegan causes.

Sitio acogedor con un trato inmejorable del servicio dándonos información y sabiendo responder todas nuestras preguntas sobre los diferentes productos aunque sin embargo lo mejor de todo es el precio y la comida increíble. Sin duda volveremos!!
