No longer 2 Locations, 2 Options… Now just one cart, one option

Earlier this year, they converted the Shawarma Palace Too cart to something else with neither shawarmas, nor vegan options. BOO! Then, to make matters worse, they suddenly dropped the fully-vegan Breakfast Shawarmup and replaced it with a "real" egg, dairy, and meat breakfast item. Ironically, this was at the height of of the egg shortage due to bird flu. Like… make it make sense, Disney. Anyway, the one cart in the main court of Avengers Campus does still offer the Impossible™ Victory Falafel for lunch or dinner, so I guess there's that.

PREVIOUS REVIEW:

It’s not clear in this listing, but just so everyone knows: there are TWO Shawarma Palace carts in Avengers Campus. One is located just past the main entrance to the campus, near the other restaurants in the quad area. The other one, called “Shawarma Palace Too: At Hyperion” is located near the secondary entrance to the campus coming from Hollywood Land. I’ll post photos.

It’s a bummer that neither cart accepts mobile orders. It’s one of the few quick food places in DCA that forces you to do walk up. The main reason this bums me out is that the breakfast menu stops 11 am but they usually seem to run out of the Impossible™ Breakfast Sha-warm-up before 10:30, sometimes earlier. Sometimes we have to rush from one cart to the other in a desperate search for 2 breakfast shawarmas! I say “desperate” because this is our fave breakfast option in the whole resort, both parks included. It’s embarrassing how many selfies I’ve taken with the Breakfast Shawarmup.

As for the post-breakfast option, the Impossible™ Victory Falafel. It’s just alright. Like others have said here, it’s not the best plant based menu option in DCA by any stretch. We tried it once just to see what it’s like. There were barely any of the pickled veggies and it feels like it would be vastly improved with fresh cucumbers and tomatoes, maybe some fresh parsley. I’ll share photos of the before and after sauce to show off the skimpiness of the main ingredients.

Pros: Quick grab 'n' go handheld vegan option

Cons: Lack of mobile ordering, So-so lunch and dinner plant based option, Cancelled their amazing vegan breakfast option

My pleasure! I can’t wait for my Magic Key Pass to let me back in later this month so I can enjoy another Breakfast Shawarmup. :)

Nice bite to eat

Was delicious, but not very full compared to my husband's who had the chicken that was overflowing and said it had lots of flavor.

Best breakfast sandwich I have ever had

I was BLOWN AWAY. 5 stars if I could. It reminds my non-veg bf of a mcgriddle!

Cons: No seating

It was okay. Wish we had more sauce

It was pretty good! Not insane but okay! If you’re in a pinch and need a bite quick, this is at least fast and easy to grab!

It was kinda dry though. So if you can, ask for extra sauce. The sauce was pretty tasty!

Overall not the most exciting thing at Disney. Have I gotten it in a while? No. Do I plan to get it again soon? Not really. But would I try it again? Yes!

UPDATE!
I have since tried the breakfast shawarma here and it was pretty good! It had a sweet and spicy dipping sauce that was very messy if you are not seated for it! So watch out! I ended up dripping it on my shirt and had to get a new one for the day. Don’t make the same mistake I did, or do and get yourself some new merch😉

Pros: Vegan options, Quick service, Vegan breakfast

Cons: Not enough sauce

Yeah. It’s like a more boring version of the food from Docking Bay 7 and Ronto’s Roasters over in the Star Wars area of Disneyland. The breakfast shawarma is vastly superior to their falafel here.

Hidden gem!

Both the breakfast and normal vegan wraps are incredible! So much flavor and a great quick option better than a lot of the table service meals.

Pros: Quick and reliable

“Victory Falafel”

This is a great option for something quick/pretty decent value for park food. I wouldn’t describe it as a falafel at all, and to me it tastes more like a gyro than a shawarma (doesn’t have that shawarma spice). What makes it work for me is the vegan tzatziki, without which it would be pretty bland. Not very flavorful on its own and doesn’t have much of anything on it but the Impossible meat.

Not as good as the Ronto-Less Garden wrap over at Galaxy’s edge but a fine option for California Adventure.

5 Star Falafel

This is the best food in the park, hands down. All my other Disney food reviews essentially boil down to “perfectly good for theme park food”. But this? This I would order outside of the park if I could. It is spicy and flavorful and so, so good. Don’t miss it!

Amazing breakfast!

Had the breakfast wrap and it was incredible! Tots nice and crisp, sausage and eggs delicious, and that maple sriracha syrup was out of this world! Would eat this all the time if I could.

Sha-warm-up on a Rainy Day

The Impossible Breakfast Sha-warm-up is a plant-based breakfast sausage and egg omelet wrap with dairy-free American cheese and crispy potato bites, served with spiced maple syrup. It's filling and reasonably priced for park food.

Pros: quick service

Cons: syrup in plastic container

Solid breakfast option in the park

Delicious and filling breakfast option.
It’s a small stand so the wait shouldn’t be long like the other quick service spots.
Large in size and comes with syrup to add.
Would order again!
