Never a bad time - Edit
Been Dishoom a handful of times for breakfast and never really been let down! Free chai refills is a nice touch and the vegan Bombay is a belly-filler. Unsurprisingly pricy but a nice experience

Hmm - Edit
Not my favourite dishoom food experience - usually I love it here but the date and banana porridge which I’ve never had was so average. Chai was a winner as always though

Vegan menu // very spicy - Edit
Appreciated the separate vegan menu and that they seemed very knowledgeable on what was vegan. However, having a very low spice tolerance myself, I found it hard to find something to eat. The two only things they recommended as non spicy were starters and I still found them too spicy for my taste (one had chilli flakes in the batter). The vegan lassi was very nice. Have heard it is amazing Indian food from Indian friends but will personally not come again.

Great option for vegans and a really nice restaurant - Edit
The wait was a bit long, but it was worth the wait. We ordered what the waiter recommended off the vegan menu and we weren't disappointed. They were very accommodating. We also had a few drinks and they were delicious too.

Too Spicy - Edit
Despite the menu saying what was spicy and what wasn't the non spicy dishes were just too spicy. Service is questionable. Dishes came out at different times. Long waits

Atmospheric, friendly, accommodating and tasty! - Edit
I was looking for somewhere that caters vegan and gluten free to have a quick late lunch before getting a train. The staff were very helpful in regards to allergens- they had a separate vegan menu and circled the numerous GF options for me. The food I had arrived in good time and was really nice. Next time I’d book ahead or make sure I have a longer window as it took 25 minutes to get seated (although they do take care of you, bringing out free drinks and then taking you to the bar before your table is cleared). 👍🏻

Dishoom is amazing - Edit
I’ve been here for dinner many times over a few years and it never disappoints. Great place for vegans to eat with their non-vegan friends or family. They have an entire vegan menu. Very nice and very accommodating. The food always tastes amazing. The flavors are incredible. Must try! Book ahead or else you may be waiting in a queue for an hour.

Overhyped? - Edit
The vegan Bombay breakfast was … perfectly fine? The best part was the tofu scramble. The chai was also nothing to write home about. Unclear from the menu whether the vegan sausage naan is entirely vegan or only the sausage is. Atmosphere/ambiance is good.

Great for a special occasion - Edit
We came to celebrate my son’s 21st. He’s not vegan but there’s plenty for everyone to choose from here. Our chole was amazing, as was the side order of greens. My wife is gluten free and there was a reasonable choice for her too (though not on the breakfast menu).

Unexpected place - Edit
Pretty flustered by this place! I expected a small café and arrived to a HUGE warehouse restaurant venue with multiple stories. They have a whole separate vegan menu with breakfast, lunch and dinner options. The English breakfast is divine as well as the chay. Can definitely recommend if you're not looking for a bargain!

Although there is a separate vegan menu that covers breakfast and lunch/dinner. I found the lunch/dinner options to be quite limited and ‘samey’. Some of the options on the menu were also unavailable at the time we visited.

We came for breakfast and there were a great amount of vegan options. I loved the vegan sausage roll naan, and was very impressed by the table service, we had tap water to share and the waiters were very attentive with filling up our glasses. Highly recommend. .

Dishoom - Edit
People really love, or are really disappointed by, Dishoom. I think there's a bit of level-setting as to what you can expect here. Firstly, Dishoom is not a typical Indian restaurant, so if you're having a craving for your favorite Indian dish you can find at almost any Indian restaurant, check Dishoom's menu first! Dishoom offer elevated, creative, and sometimes unique dishes and it seems they continue to add more vegan options (e.g., they recently added mango lassi and naan). The black daal made vegan is delicious, as is the gunpowder potatoes dish. Samosas are a great option too. You'll also find many dishes at Dishoom that you likely will not find at other Indian restaurants. It's a great experience and a good place to have a meal at a nice restaurant.
Read moreIncidentally, this location worked great for a business lunch, and it's great for dates and meals with friends.

Would give 5 stars if I could! - Edit
Even though they’re not a veggie place, I was so impressed with everything. There’s a separate vegan menu as well as a gf menu. The staff was friendly and helpful. They helped me find vegan and GF options. They knew about ingredients and cross contamination etc. The food was delicious (and had a good kick!). When it started raining, without us asking they immediate came round to say they were looking to see if there was a free table inside. 30 later we were inside safe and dry. Really one of the better vegan meals I’ve had since lockdown eased!

You won’t regret! Literally amazing! - Edit
I hardly go to non-vegan places because I feel like supporting 100% vegan places as much as I can. So when I do visit a non-vegan place and feel like revisiting it, it means it is truly vegan-friendly, reasonably priced and taste delicious.
Read moreI went to dishoom tonight for a second dinner at almost 10pm. It’s so good to have such a nice place open at late night.
This place, I can ensure you all, is definitely worth a visit. The place is insanely massive, elegantly decorated. The separate vegan menu is lovely and the staff are so amazingly friendly. The price is also affordable and reasonable which I really appreciate!
Personally I strongly recommend the lassi (I had the mango lassi, fantastic) and the rice pudding (called “basmati Kheer”).
If more vegans visit them maybe more vegan options would be added to the menu! Hope they can keep doing better and offer more and more vegan options!
Pros: Separate vegan menu and various options, Great environment and atmosphere , Friendly and helpful staff
Cons: Hope they can go 100% vegan!!!!

Very tasty - Edit
The food was very delicious and authentic. I even got a vegan menu. The staff was very friendly, asking for allergies and are well informed about veganism. We went there many times. My favourite was the coconut granola, the mango lassi and the vada pau.
Read moreThe restaurant is very popular. There's usually a long queue and you might have to wait up to 1-2 hours (especially in the evening). The restaurant looks very cool.
Even if it's not fully vegan it's worth to go there... maybe the vegan menu will get even bigger, if many vegans go there ;)
I would give five stars, but it's not possible, because it's not vegetarian or vegan....
