Indian Breakfast - Edit
We visited here twice for breakfast during our recent stay, and thoroughly enjoyed both occasions.
Read moreOn our first visit we got the date and banana porridge, house granola and a kids fruit and yoghurt. The porridge was deliciously creamy and wholesome. It was also bottomless so I got an extra bowl - well why not!
The granola and fruit and yoghurt, although simple, were so flavourful and filling. On our second visit we got the fruit and yoghurt and the vegan bombay. The latter was delicious and well seasoned, particularly the tofu and masala beans.
Drinks wise, we had the oat milk chai, which was extremely satisfying and bottomless, as was the pineapple juice that our son loved. Special mention also to the monsooned catuai coffee that was superb.
Staff were so friendly and attentive and the interior and atmosphere was lovely.
Pros: Great food, Staff, Vibe

A friend of mine who lives in Birmingham recommended Dishoom. So glad we went. Bet Edinburgh branch would be great too.

Edinburgh branch is great. Been there once, decent food but not in a hurry to return as would rather explore more new places.

Great food - Edit
I had the Chole Puri meal for dinner. Plenty of food (I couldn’t quite finish it) for only £16. It tasted amazing, and was a nice bit of variety with the curry, halwa and puris. The only disappointing thing was the lack of vegan curries, not even the dal was vegan😒

Breakfast options are the best! - Edit
I have tried a number of items at Dishoom and I would always go back for their breakfast options. Their unlimited oat milk chai is such a bonus!

One of the best breakfasts in Birmingham - Edit
Dinner at Dishoom is a whole experience. It has moody lighting, incense burning and the staff are perfectly attentive and helpful. It’s a shame the dal isn’t vegan but there is a separate vegan menu which is always nice. The breakfast is next level! I had the vegan Bombay and I don’t think I can go back to the usual full English anymore. Plus the oat milk chai is bottomless and they top you up each time they see your glass getting low without you needing to ask.

Very tasty - Edit
Had a mixture of dishes, the black dal being the absolute stand out. A little on the noisy and dark side but enjoyed it nevertheless.

Nice atmosphere, food not great - Edit
Really nicely-decorated restaurant and a nice vibe, very friendly staff. I had the vegan sausage naan wrap for breakfast with a side of masala beans and an oat milk chai. The chai was lovely and the beans flavourful. Unfortunately the vegan sausages didn’t have much flavour or texture, and the wrap contained an unspecified white sauce (not mentioned on the menu) and a very overpoweringly sweet chutney which masked any other flavours. Could’ve done with maybe some greenery or other texture, and less of the sweet sauce.

Delicious Indian influenced food - Edit
I had the vegan sausage naan from the breakfast menu and an oatmilk chai latte both of which were excellent. The staff were very courteous, the building is really spacious and it was a lovely place to relax and have a leisurely breakfast.
