Overhyped!!! Just ok to be honest

To be honest i had the biggest expectations for Din Tai Fun since everybody and also on Youtube was crazy about this place.

So finally i went there at the Marina Bay.

Ordered everything which was vegan on the menu.

So far so good and in a good mood for the food.

As soon as i took the bite it was very fast clear to me this place it overhyped - at least to me.

Dont get me wrong. The dumplings and boas, etc. Are freshly hand made and the craftmanship is outstanding. You can see it within every dumpling.

But coming to the taste it was just ok - good.
Taking pricing into account: 10 veg. Dumplings = 15 Singapore Dollars
Its not worth it.

You can for sure find at Chinatown or the food hawkers around Singapore clearly dumplings which are at least the same. Many of them probably even better!!!

For my checkmark i had to go. But would never return.

Sorry!!!

Pros: Craftmanship

Cons: Pricy!! 200 SGD for 4 People

Some vegan stuff

In an area v that's pretty devoid of vegan food, at least Din Tai Fung offers a few dishes. I enjoyed the vegetable buns, spinach and garlic and the (sweet) yam dumplings. The menu clearly marks what's vegetarian but just double check if there's also egg or not depending on the dish you order.

Favorite Vegan Dumplings!

I LOVE the din tai fung vegetarian dumplings! The vegetable dishes are also flavorful. This particular branch is usually very empty and has a nice ambiance.
