Great vegan options - Edit
A great selection of marked vegan options. Love the bok choy. Quite expensive but it is all delicious and handmade.

Solid vegan options but no vegan soup dumplings - Edit
As an omnivore, I am familiar with DTF’s robust and extensive menu. Their specialty is their soup dumpling, which has a delicious broth within them. My main problem with DTF is their lack of vegan soup dumplings. Also, after having experienced their non-vegan selections, it feels like they didn’t put as much effort in flavor and deliciousness for the vegan counterparts. They didn’t have the signature “oomph” or “substance” compared to the non-vegan dishes.

Clearly marked vegan options - Edit
Vegan options were clearly marked and the vegan spicy wontons were especially delicious! Also loved the sesame buns. The veggie buns could have used a bit more flavor, but honestly I just put some of the chili sauce from the wontons on them.

Very nice restaurant, great service, lots of vegan options - Edit
Amazing service. I love that there are big windows where you can see where your noodles, buns, dumplings etc are being made. Vegan items are labeled on the menu, which is always nice!
Read moreThis was my second time here.
This time I tried the vegan dumplings, the vegan sesame noodles and the taro buns.
The vegan dumplings are a no for me 😔 I like that the dough is really thin and they are beautiful, but they could use a little more flavor, I had to add a lot of chili oil to enhance them. The noodles are so good though! My favorite are the vegan sesame noodles (which I also had last time!). The buns are good too, really soft and sweet. You have to wait 20 mins (they tell you in advance) for them to be prepared, but it is worth the wait. Last time, I had the red beans buns. Today I wanted to try the taro ones... delicious 😊

Best option when with omnivores - Edit
This was the first restaurant where I did not feel like an outcast for being vegan. They have so many options that the omnivores will enjoy just as much I will often order for delivery for lunch.
Read moreAll of the vegetable starters and sides are great. I especially like the Wood Ear mushrooms and cucumber salad.
The vegan dumplings are good but the vegan spicy wontons are the best.
The only vegan specific item I was not entirely satisfied with are the vegan buns.
Pros: Incredible selection for vegans, Options omnivores will like just as much
Cons: Vegan buns, Wait time for a table , Price is a bit steep

Vegan noodles pretty good - Edit
I like this place but it’s expensive and portion sizes are small. Vegan spicy wontons and spicy noodles and sesame noodles are really good.

A fav! - Edit
Always a good meal when dining at DTF! My go-to is a few vegan buns and the noodles in sesame sauce. I always love filling my buns up with the spicy sauce.

Sooooooo good!! - Edit
Din Tai Fung is amazing. The menu has a key for listing veg options. I could eat the spicy dumplings and tofu noodles all day every day and never get sick of them. Kid friendly, too!

Consistently delicious - Edit
This was my 5th different DTF location and it’s always consistent wherever you go. The mushroom appetizer is an absolute must. Plenty of vegan options to fill you up. #Veganuary

Favorite restaurant in the Seattle area - Edit
This is a chain originating in Taiwan with an trendy/upscale atmosphere. You can see staff behind glass preparing dumplings as you walk in. I love that I can order something from almost every category and everything is clearly marked as vegan. My top recommendations are the vegan spicy wontons, vegan Shanghai rice cakes, and sesame & mochi XLB (dessert dumplings). Most of the dessert menu is vegan--so rare at a non-vegan restaurant!

Cons: No vegan soup dumplings (xiao long bao)
