Superb. Best Shop for Vegans in Bangor! - Edit
As someone living nearby, I am kicking myself for not visiting Dimensions sooner. Based in upper Bangor, this little health food shop carried so much more vegan produce than I had initially anticipated!
Read moreThey have two fridges and 1 freezer stocked with vegan goods such as tofu, cheese, vegan block, hummus, ice cream, and kombucha. They also had a chill room filled with fresh organic produce. The shelves were packed with vegan cupboard staples, including oils, tinned and jarred goods, nutritional yeast, dried fruit, flour, spreads, sauces, spices, nut butters and supplements.
They carried products from all the usual vegan friendly brands one expects to find in a health food shop such as suma, freee, biona organic, free and easy, marigold, meridian, booja-booja, clive's, eat real and violife. They also carried some brands that I'd never come across before, such as bennetto natural foods, brown bag crisps, organica, overherd, and la bio idea.
I really appreciate the environmental ethos that exists in Dimensions. They carried many eco-friendly household products such as washing up liquid, surface cleaner, laundry powder, and bin bags. They also have refillable dry good dispensers in the store where you can bring in your own containers or use paper bags supplied by the shop. I took in my own old jars and was a bit unsure on how to operate the scales and dispensers, but the friendly shop assistant showed me what to do, and it turns out the process is incredibly straightforward and easy!
A vegan could definitely get most of their food shop bits at Dimensions, and they even offer online ordering on their website with delivery or collection options. I am absolutely going to be visiting this shop as regularly as I can from now on, and I highly recommend it to nearby vegans. You might, like me, find a vegan product that you've never tried before!

Great source of vegan staples - Edit
The only place around to buy vital wheat gluten, TVP, vegan jelly and so on. Also has a great range of organic fruit and veg, herbal medicines, vegan chocolate & snacks and cruelty free toiletries. There's also a facility to purchase dry goods without the use of plastics. Take a container and pay by the weight for everything from pumpkin seeds to pasta.

The staff were so welcoming and kind, they even gave me a cup of wellness tea as I browsed. I could of spend hours in here, so many vegan options that are organic and where possible local produce. The fruit and veg part of the shop meant I got all my shopping done here, I loved the design of the fridge room. If I lived closer I would do all my shopping here - I left with a bag full that will feed me and my partner for the next 3 days, really good value for money. Happy customer, just sad I don’t live closer.

Excellent shop loaded with vegan products. I was able to purchase Naturli vegan butter and my favorite vegan beans in tomato sauce. The shop was jampacked with so many vegan items and is well worth the trip. In addition to the food items there is a natural products and vitamin section in the back. I personally felt the prices were fine/reasonable.

Such a wide choice - Edit
I’ve been a customer at dimensions for the last 20 years also and wanted to say what amazing service they have given over the years. There’s a wide range of vegan and vegetarian foods, and during lockdown they have been delivering locally which has been a lifesaver for me. I highly recommend this shop, and feel that as vegetarians and vegans we should support small businesses that are independently owned selling locally products, even if the prices are a little more expensive.

Read moreWhen I moved up to Bangor from East of England I was pleasantly surprised to find Dimensions, which was recommended on a number of times and is well known within the community.
They offer a vast array of shelf products and an ok array of chilled products (1 double fridge), though with a small range of frozen products (1 small freezer).
Prices are on the steep side for some products but then very well priced for others.
As well as food, Dimensions offer a range of household, beauty, holistic, clothing, and fresh produce products.
Staff are extremely friendly from the first moment me and my friend came in as clearly new faces, Dimensions is a vital part of my shopping habits.

WAS GREAT - NOW TOO EXPENSIVE & RESTRICTED CHOICE - Edit
When we first moved to North Wales from Southern England, it was a huge shock to discover that there were hardly any health food shops, and no veggy restaurants. THought we'd hit gold when we discovered this shop, with it's wide range of supplements, take away baps etc, and we used it all the time. Sadly, over the past few years things have changed! Variety in branding has reduced, supplements greatly reduced, and the last take out roll I bought was not good!

The shop is in the middle of Bangor Uni Students area, and all I can say is there must be some rich students around these days!

Sweet As A Nut - Edit
A wide range of wholefoods, including vegan treats and a good few things you can't get anywhere else for miles. Mock cheeses and meats, veggie haggis and even do very healthy smoothies now. The staff are always very polite and helpful.
