A good Vegetarian Noodle Soups - Edit
This small restaurant have a good selection of Noodle soups. At lunch time they do offer rice plate but not many choices. Their noodle soup dishes are the best and popular among locals. At night that is what they serve with no rice or other dishes other then the few noodle soups. Friendly owner but English spoken and menu is lacking. Restaurant do offer an outdoor sitting and is just behind an alley on busy Nam Ky Khoi Nghia.
Pros: Good Noodle soups, Proper sitting with in door or outdoor, Friendly owner
Cons: No English menu and spoken.

the best vegan noodle soup in district 3 - Edit
This is our favorite place for soup. Super friendly staff, cheap and deliciously spicy. Beautiful urban location with a busy street just outside the alley where you sit. Recommended!

Great soup; cheap and cheerful :-) - Edit
I am a regular at Dieu Phap Chay, as I live very close by and it's a nice, little spot for no-fuss vegan food, with a friendly English-speaking owner (who has an adorable little son!) and very welcoming and kind staff.
There is an English menu, but it only has the noodle soups listed; there is a Vietnamese menu that has more items, but I cannot understand it so I have only ever tried the soups and don't know what else is on offer. I believe there is a rice dish and 'Banh Hue' amongst a few other things.
Regardless, the menu on the whole is quite small. However, the soups are tasty and comforting, especially on a rainy day washed down with a tra da (iced tea); my favourites are the rice noodle soup with tofu, mushrooms and rice pancake bits on top (although I find it is a bit too heavy on a particular Vietnamese herb that I am not keen on...I am not sure what it is...maybe some type of coriander?) and the vermicelli 'salad' with peanuts, tofu, lettuce, mint, cucumber, carrot and daikon. I'd recommend their fresh spring rolls too...the dipping sauce is delicious.
The soups are very affordable at only 39,000 VND a bowl and portion sizes are very generous, always leaving me full.
I would definitely recommend Dieu Phap Chay for a simple and casual lunch if you're in the area and want a nice bowl of soup :-)
Pros: Cheap, Friendly staff, Good portion sizes
Cons: Not all items listed in English menu
