Nicht lecker, sondern sehr fein - Edit
Although I think the name of the restaurant is a bit unsuited (no one says "lecker" in Swiss German) its dishes are very yummy. I find it great that they are very ecological what concerns the food, but what concerns the interior they are not really - everything is very new and not reused, especially I didn't like the plastic chairs. Also, the atmosphere is a bit too posh for my taste. Now to the food: I had the American burger with potato cuts and garlic sauce. And as dessert a very sweet cheesecake (which was sweetened with cane sugar, although they write they do not use refined sugar). It was all very delicious. But I would expect either a bit bigger portions or a bit lower prices, although I know that everything is organic. The staff was very friendly and knew what contained allergens. Overall, it was worth the visit and I would go again.

Schade das man nur fünf Sterne vergeben kann. Denn die Leckerei hätte mehr als das verdient. Das Restaurant befindet sich im ersten Obergeschoss. Man wird herzlichst empfangen und bei der Auswahl wird man bestens beraten, sofern man sich nicht entscheiden kann :) Ich habe einen Burger "der Rauchige" mit Cheddar und Süesshärdöpfelpommfrit (inkl. zwei Sösseli) genommen. Ein Traum… Wirklich sensationell. Das Ambiente ist Stylisch und Bodenständig. Die Bedienung, wie erwähnt, einfach Prima. Zum Dessert eine Schocko-Banane Tarte, hmmmm….. fein….

I finally was able to go there and it exceeded my expactations. I had the American style burger and it was absolutely delicious. So were the (self made) potato chips and the sauces. The service was friendly (though a little forgetful in my case -maybe someone new?). All in all, great experience I'd recommend to vegans and non-vegans alike!

Ich war mit meiner nicht-veganen Familie da. Und auch sie fanden das Essen super lecker. Sie vermissten die tierischen Produkte überhaupt nicht.

Ich war gestern in St. Gallen und musste auf jemanden warten. Da zückte ich das Handy und öffnete Happy Cow um ein veganes Kaffee zu suchen, denn ich hatte Zeit für Kaffee und Kuchen. Und dank der App fand ich mitten im Zentrum das erste vegane Restaurant in St. Gallen. "Die Leckerei" im 1. Stock oben. Die Einrichtung ist sehr aufgeräumt, lichtvoll, mit Blick auf den Marktplatz.

Excellent vegan restaurant, very generous portions. All the burgers are really tasty, great wedges and good range of sauces. Interior and atmosphere are also very well thought out. Kid friendly with a well stocked children's corner. A very welcome to St Gallen.

Endlich hat auch St.Gallen das erste rein vegane Restaurant! Super leckeres Essen! Super feine Saucen egal ob zum Salat / Tofu oder Burger. Mein Favorit die Haussauce! Leicht scharf. Dessert konnte ich leider noch nicht probieren, da ich nach Salat und Hauptgang bereit zu satt war, was heissen mag, dass es sehr gute/grosse Portionen gibt! Werde ich aber bestimmt noch nachholen! :)
