Serves meat, vegan options available. Pizza shop and ristorante serving pizza, calzone, and sandwiches. Has vegan cheese. Open Tue-Sat 11:00am-10:00pm.
My wait person was right away able to help me choose a vegan option. I wound up with a Mini Marco, the smallest pizza on offer, with four vegan toppings that I selected. I also was given an option of a regular gluten free crust or cauliflower crust--a special offering available that evening, I think. The toppings were lower-priced for the Mini Marco than for the regular pizzas, which came in at least three sizes. The pizza was crispy at the edges and chewier inside. It had a fairly high ratio of vegan cheese to tomato sauce. I found it to be very tasty vegan pizza, though I am not a huge pizza eater. The vegan cheese is also available for stromboli and other cheese-containing classics. But have you noticed the steamed broccoli, salads, and sauteed broccoli rabe on the menu? I did not get a chance to try those, in part because I has started with salads elsewhere. Health note: Compared to many restaurants that emphasize plant-based options, I did not see many signs of organic ingredients or avoidance of the usual food additives, etc. On the building: Softly lit interior with many large windows. Very much like a typical pizza place inside. Some people ate at a bar; I selected a table for some personal space. I mentioned to my hostess that I was vegan and she understood. As I recall, I was given some choice in seating. My server was helpful with occasional checks to see how things were going. Amenities of a full-service restaurant, such as cloth napkins, real plates, silverware, etc., were in evidence. A very solid and enjoyable vegan pizza experience.
Debated between two and three stars. The crust was thick and chewy, which is not my favorite style, but some do like it. The sauce was decent, nothing to write home about, but average. Daiya cheese is Daiya cheese love it or hate it, if you love or like it, it is what they use.
When I went there with my family they only had the option for personal pizzas, which were expensive and not very good. Lots of options but since transitioning from a Ma and Pop pizza shop to a more gourmet restaurant, their quality seems to have gone down a bit
