BEST vegan restaurant experience! - Edit
We were in town for a few days and always try to support all-vegan restaurants. We went for lunch and ended up going back the next day for breakfast. I don’t think you could go wrong here! The food was excellent and the portions are hearty!

everything is delicious and cozy atmosphere - Edit
Weve been to market in south on several occasions and have tried everything on the menu and everything is delicious! Pick any sandwich or vegan hotdog, a side of mac n cheeze, or cheezy fries or brussel sprouts with some sweet tea or just water. Then choose any of the desserts, sauces, artisan items, or art available to take home with you. They also have weekly specials.

Very delicious - Edit
I had one of each taco, collards, and potato salad. Everything tasted great.
Read moreI’m a little more restrictive than vegan, so I would have appreciated more callouts for non-obvious soy. Most stuff was spelled out and staff helped me understand ingredients.

BISCUITS AND GRAVY - Edit
+ Biscuits and gravy were AMAZING
Read more+ S'mores bar & brookie, fantastic
+ Great service
+ Cheesy homies sauce fantastic
- Tea tasted a bit sour, probably because they seemed to use a brewed tea and then added what looked like sugar in the raw syrup to sweeten
- Mexican scramble bowl thing was...ehhh...some burnt bits
- 'Cajun' boiled peanuts were NOT Cajun boiled peanuts
- Cheesy homies a bit burnt in places
- Grass in the biscuits and gravy was weird
Overall, I will absolutely be back to try more. I have this problem where I have REALLY HIGH expectations but forget that most vegan places are just some people making food, ya know. Gotta go into these situations thinking 'lunch at a friend's house' not 'restaurant'.
---
I've been wanting to go here for over a year. Biscuits and gravy...haven't even tried to make it at home since going vegan. I'm terrible at gravy.
I brought my SO and of course the only thing he'd even think about trying was the biscuits and gravy...ugh. I'm happy he's open to trying things but he always wants what I want and I didn't want to double up. So I got this scramble bowl thing instead.
The biscuits and gravy were amazing. An actually fluffy and moist biscuit, not the dry, dense rocks most places serve. The gravy was just so darn good. SO GOOD. There was this perfect aroma and flavor of sage, I believe, making the whole plate extra homey and cozy tasting. The consistency of the gravy was on point, as well. The small chunks of sausage topping it had the most perfect maple~y, smokey flavor that was sweet and savory and complemented the other components perfectly. However, a couple of spots were a touch burnt-tasting and the gigantic raw fronds of frisee were pointless to us.
My scramble bowl was underwhelming. There wasn't anything particularly wrong with it, it just wasn't what I wanted and the flavors did not satisfy me. Oh, except that there was some burnt potatoey bits and cilantro on it and I can't have cilantro. lol
The Cajun peanuts tasted like plain boiled peanuts sprinkled with smoked paprika and splashed with like Tabasco sauce. Boiled well, not mush and not hard, but not really Cajun~y.
The touch of burnt was followed through to some pieces in the homies, too. Which was unfortunate because they were really tasty!
Anyway, the sweets all looked amazing and incredible but I managed to whittle it down to just two picks and...they're great. The s'mores bar is def. the top pick for the fam.
Pros: BISCUITS AND GRAVY, cheese sauce, s'mores bar
Cons: burnt spots/taste

Um...okay? I didn't ask. I know Valhalla Bakery isn't Dixie Dharma but they share the same building. The sweets cabinet is literally at the counter. Like it's not separated by a booth or tucked and hidden away or by a separate entrance. It's a valid addition to the review. You can purchase sweets and food at the same time. From the same people. And they're good.

Yes to everything! - Edit
Dixie Dharma shares the Market in South space with Valhalla bakery so that is kind of confusing if it’s your first time visiting. Located inside Market on South, Dixie Dharma is serving up delish vegan comfort food. I love the Brussels sprouts, potato salad or macaroni salad. Never mind just get everything. It’s all good! Everyone that works there is super friendly and will answer any questions you have.

I love the hippie vibes of the whole Market on South establishment. And they have such unique flavors with their distinctly Southern menu. I love that they also do specials from time to time because their menu is fairly small and unchanging. Hands down, my favorite thing is the breakfast biscuits and gravy. It’s been improved over the years and is even better now than the first time I ordered it.

AH-MAZING! ❤️ - Edit
It was so nice to find a vegan place that does brunch every day of the week instead of just the weekends. We got the biscuits and gravy with a side of grits. The biscuits were the perfect texture and the gravy was the perfect thickness without being too chunky. The sausage with maple glaze on top is to die for. The Cajun seasoning on the grits made them a touch too spicy for me only cuz I’m very sensitive to spice, but damn they were still delicious! I definitely would recommend this place.

This place is a hidden gem! Everything is vegan, the restaurant is so cool with lovely art work painted on the walls and cool local vegan products for sale like t shirts, burger mixes, soaps, candles and scented mists. I had the hot dogs with a side of mac and cheese and my wife had the kale salad with tatter salad side. Both were incredible and we can’t wait to make the trip back to try more of the menu! They also sell amazingly looking cakes, donuts and cookies along with kombucha‘s and sodas. Definitely worth a visit if you’re vegan or just curious to see what vegan food can taste like, you’ll be blown away!

EXCELLENT food - Edit
Was recommended this place by a coworker after mentioning my upcoming visit to Orlando. I had a superrrrr delicious serving of vegan baked mac & cheese and a juicy grilled tomato, vegan mayo topped sandwich. I need to come back to try more things! Menu had several options and apparently it is in a shared place next to other vegan restaurants/side shops.
