Desserts 👌👌

Unfortunately the fryer was down when we visited so we just got some Mac n Cheese and the mashed tatas , both were really nice ! Bear in mind the mac and cheese comes with celery in it so if you dont like tell them to keep it off.
We got 3 desserts which were amazing, banana bread, lemon short cake, oreo sandwich. Didn’t get pictures of any 🙈
Would defo recommend this place based on what we had, locatiom is great, good few vegan options in the hall.

Great for non-vegans to taste delicious comfort food!

Visited April 3, 2022. Honest opinion: chicken pieces were delicious, as was the chicken sandwich. Mac&Cheese was yummy. Very disappointed with the nachos. Curly fries were a bit greasy. Biscuit was underwhelming. Small portions for the price. Overall impressive that it's all plant-based and really delicious, and that there was a line to order from this restaurant (while the other restaurants serving meat next to it and across from it had no one (it's in an open food court type atmosphere). Loved the location too!

Pros: Overall everything quite tasty, Love the location, Completely vegan...no need to ask questions!

Cons: smallish portions, pricey, natchos need improving

Spicy chickn delicious

The spicy chickn sandwich was perfectly spicy. The chickn was crunchy and cooked just right.

Southern Style

I would return again. The platter I had was really tasty. The portion size could be more since they are a bit pricey. I was only visiting so didn't have time to sample other options. The location is great for nonvegans since there are other eateries located in the same building. Even a bar. #Veganuary

Pros: Nice vegan options, Only tried the platter, Tasty

Cons: Small portion, A bit pricey

Well thought out vegan menu and tasty recipes! Great service! Suggest adding black beans to the menu to broaden plant protein options.

Pros: Delicious food, Great selection, Fun but not gimmicky

Cons: Menu has limited plant protiens

Vegan Southern Food with a twist!

Amazing fried goodness and so many delicious flavors. Indulgent af so I'd only eat here as a treat, but everything is so good! Love the DFC and fried green tomato. Alpha our server was awesome 🙂

Great flavours

If you want a nice, fun, & casual dinner out in Sanford, it's a perfect spot. You can sit down at the end of the bar/ lounge and have a nice bottle of wine with dinner. Plant based proteins. Rich food. Large portions. Sandwich style eating.

Delicious!

Dharma is located inside of Henry’s Food Hall. Great menu selection and very tasty. You would never know the fried chicken is vegan! Mac n cheese was great and the DHC bowl (fried chicken strips, corn, mashed potatoes and gravy, Mac n cheese) was fantastic. Coupled with covered outdoor seating and being pet friendly made for a great lunch experience.

Vegan American menu

Got the chilli dawgs ( not sure about the spelling) and chicken fry dish with Mac n cheese , there's an apple creme cake dessert (forgot the actual name 😒) , overall it was very filling after a long walk in blue springs state park, and delicious too

Pros: Full vegan menu, there's some other vegan , Restaurants in the same place which has coffee and, Icecreams

Good Vegan Food, Good Location

Dharma Fine Vittles has a few locations in the state (Sanford, Orlando, and Tampa). So far, Sanford has been my favorite location (Orlando tends to be very busy and Tampa is in a spot with challenging parking). Sanford is in a building that shares its space with other businesses and there's good parking out back.

The food is a good mix of vegan comfort food, from BBQ jackfruit sandwiches, to waffles or biscuits and gravy. I've read the other reviews on Happy Cow and there seems to be a mix of experiences from GREAT to meh. I've taken my partner a few times and, while I've been happy with everything I've ordered, his first experience was "meh" but the second visit was great.

Another upside of the co-op style location is that you can order your lunch at Dharma Fine Vittles, then walk over to the bar, sit down, and have a few drinks with your meal.

Delicious Vegan Southern Food

The food was tasty. Counter service in a food court setting. Very hard to find parking. Expensive for fast food. You don't get much food for the price.

Pros: Yummy food

Cons: Hard to find parking

Remarkably Good!

As a new vegan, I was stunned at the flavors and taste. In the short time I've been vegan (4 months at the time of writing this), I've been there about 4-5 times. I've had their Chick'n sandwich, cheesy potatoes, chick'n strip box, chick'n and waffles, and their Nashville sandwich, all of which were amazing! Love the care and craft here.

Pros: Chick'n, Usually has other vendors to offer (deserts), Service and care

Cons: Mac and Cheese (nitpicking here)

Meh

I love that we have a local vegan restaurant. However, the flavors are not there. Items are usually under seasoned and many items I’ve received have been undercooked. I have a hard time going back. Being a local, I’ve tried it more than once wanting to like it. Disappointed every time.

Pros: Vegan

Cons: Expensive , Lack of flavor

Overpriced and mediocre

I came in hoping for a decent vegan meal and was sorely disappointed. They are overpriced and serve very little food. The food itself was okay but the sweets taste terrible, it was too creamy and I couldn't even finish it all. I am a huge vegan food lover and this is by far the worst one. Don't waste your money try ANY other vegan restaurant it'll be much better than this ripoff.

Excellent southern vegan food in a cute space. They have something for everyone - salad, brunch food, sandwiches, and even vegan hot dogs and a few sweet treats.

Pros: Excellent Food, Great vibe, Good portions

Cons: shares space so it can get crowded

Delicious and Fresh Offerings

Dixie Dharma is a stable for the greater Orlando vegan community. This location is in a beautiful food hall with a few other vegan offerings. They offer the same items as the other locations but they do offer special collaborations on weekends with The Greenery Creamery

Great vegan option in Sanford

We’ve been to their Orlando location and were excited to see the new one in Sanford. The food is always amazing. We’ve tried most everything on the menu and are never disappointed. Highly recommend this for delicious vegan fare.

Pros: All vegan, Dessert options too, Everything has been delicious

I no longer have to check if they're open in Sanford!!

For the past year I've been checking Google to see if this site had opened. Went there Weds (7/8/20). Got the Brew burger this time and Mac and cheese (traditional and garlic, both good), it was delicious. Had the Florida Fried green tomatoes and brussel sprouts at their Orlando site. I think I liked the FFGT better. The location is kind of cool like the Plant St Market in Winter Garden. Multiple restaurants so there's variety if you want to go with non-vegan friends/Family. I didn't see any of their desserts that they have at their Orlando site from their Valhalla bakery. Update:7/17/20, had the Carolina BBQ jack fruit, very tasty.

Pros: All vegan options

Cons: A little pricey, but it's made from scratch
