Okay grub, poor service, but at least open on Christmas day

Self-service restaurant with pay what you eat gambit. Interior is hygienic, but since it's located in the touristy area of Prague you can sense that either the staff is fed up with the tourists or maybe just annoyed because they were working on Christmas day.

When asked about the vegan options the mobile phone staring staff looked annoyed, but, to me bit amusingly, somewhat begrudgingly pointed at the vegan option they had.

The only vegan warm option was some chickpea grub. The taste was okay. The salad table looked a bit stale around 16.30., but still edible.

When querying further on the way the restaurant worked I could hear the frustration in her voice. Maybe it was the language barrier? Kind of awkwardly the rest of the interactions I had with the girl serving, she always did put on a smile. Funny!

I felt for them though. Working on Christmas day isn't a treat... Still, it sucks to be the customer when people act grumpy.

All and all it's better than not eating, but I wouldn't come here again if I didn't have to.

Pros: It was open on Christmas day and had a vegan optio

Cons: Poor service, no English descriptions, few vegan o

simple, gets the job done

Modest, highly functional self-service vegetarian place. All the food is Indian vegetarian, and served charmingly in Indian stainless-steel wares. The menu is limited to a bit of salad, a few sauces, two kinds of rice, five mains, one "European" dish, and some additional items like samosas. You pay for everything by weight except for the individual items like samosas, which are charged for by the unit. The salad greens didn't seem exceptionally fresh, but in general the food was not overly heavy or fatty, and had lighter options mixed in with heavier ones.

There's tap-water at every table, which is a nice touch and unusual for Europe. There's also free and low-hassle Wifi. That makes this an especially attractive resting spot for travelers. At the Na Poříčí location, though, which is just out of the main tourist areas, just about everyone seemed to be a local, many office-workers popping in for a quick meal.

Note that you can reach this location from both Na Poříčí and Na Florenci. It's actually in a courtyard in the middle of the block between those streets (with not much street signage). The outdoor seating is shaded, and of course you can sit indoors too. It's open long hours and has a very pleasant interior.

Pros: convenient, good food, pretty healthy options, fairly priced

Cons: limited menu, not much day-to-day variety

Ok food, staff not so friendly

This is a fully vegetarian restaurant with a nice atmosphere, a beautiful outdoor seating area and free wifi, water and green tea. It is possible to buy a few items (spring rolls, samosas, smoothies, cakes) individually but most of the menu consists of a self-service buffet priced by weight, which I found to be of a good but not amazing quality. About 60 per cent of the buffet items were marked as being vegan; I found it frustrating that none of the sauces or dips were labelled. It is in a very convenient location and so I would go back if I were in a rush, but possibly for the take-away as I found the staff very blunt and unfriendly.

Pros: location, fully veg

Cons: priced by weight, unfriendly staff, not all things labelled as vegan or non-

Lots to choose from

I like the space, which might get a bit overcrowded during lunchtime and the variety of food you can choose from. Love the halva.

Decent, but nothing special

Ended up here for lunch after realizing that Moment, Vegan City and Loving Hut were all closed on Sundays. Atmosphere was bright and modern with nice music. Food was edible but rather mediocre for Indian food. Priced by weight, which I'm not crazy about. Ended up spending twice as much (435czk) as we would have paid for 2 meals at Vegan City or Loving Hut, as it's hard to know what your food will weigh and therefore impossible to know what it will cost. The samosas were dry and hard and the spring roll was unbelievably greasy and mushy, rather than crisp and flaky. Vegetable curry with white rice and daal were good. Chutneys were ok. Wouldn't go back, as there are so many other options (all vegan) with much better pricing.

Pros: Self-serve buffet, Open Sundays

Cons: Priced by weight (can get expensive), Some items less than fresh

Lovely place, good food

I ate at a few of the Dhaba Beas while in Prague, and this one seems to be the newest and largest. It's quite impressive, actually. The food is pure vegetarian, and there are many choices--from salads to Indian style dishes to samosas and snacks. I like this buffet style service where I could choose what I wanted. A good place to get a pure veg meal and relax. Nice outdoor seating, too. Thanks for listing this on happy cow.
