The main entrees have been downright disgusting to mediocre at best. Anything with tempeh or tofu is unbearably salty, and the cheese tastes like feet. You can get items without either, but may likely come out underwhelmed. A lot of flavors seem to conflict or not quite be as intended. They unfortunately do not appear to have a good grasp on many of the cultural dishes they have tried to recreate.
The price is about what you'd expect for a vegan restaurant. No complaints there if you know what you're getting into.

Detroit Street Filling Station in Ann Arbor MI is a must visit. Casual, friendly, positive vibe spot with indoor and outdoor seating. Great staff. And the food is so good. Try anything and everything. You won’t be disappointed in the portions and flavors. And the prices are very reasonable. And the best part of course…100% plant-based!

I've eaten that many vegan restaurants, and this one really stands out. Excellent food. Great portions. Wonderful atmosphere. The menu is not too overwhelming, which actually means they are focused on making quality food over quantity. Great job!

I recommend the Chkn Fried Wild Mushroom Sandwich. My wife loved the Power Up Bowl. There was live music and great energy. They were very busy but not at all overwhelmed. The service was great.

Loved this place. All plant-based menu with wide variety of options. I had the POWER UP Bowl and a horchata, and my friends enjoyed the Pad Thai and veggie soup. I wish I traveled to Ann Arbor more often to enjoy this place . Nice vibe and servers, too.

The lumberjack salad is so great, the marinated tofu has AMAZING flavor!! There is so much variety in the salad with the walnuts and avocado and peppers, it’s so perfect. I also got the raspberry basil grilled cheese which was such a delicious mix of sweet and savory.

Love the vegan food and dessert options and the drinks are amazing. We try to visit every Saturday we love it that much and I personally love to cook my own vegan meals and they have inspired some of my dishes. Our non-vegan teenage son actually liked the food too and that's saying a lot!

I tried 3 menu options on my visit to Ann Arbor. The Chk'n Fried Wild Mushroom Sandwich, the Worlds Greatest Wrap, and the Grilled Queso Burrito. All of them were very yummy. The Chk'n Fried Wild Mushroom sanwich blew my mind. The chk'n fried wild mushroom was so tasty, and topped with the slaw it was over the top delicious. Definitely recommend! The Worlds Greatest Wrap was yummy, but I actually preferred the Grilled Queso Burrito. I already love a good 'beans and rice' dish, but the addition of their cashew nacho cheese and chipotle ranch were a highlight. If you are ever in the are, definitely stop by. You won't be disappointed.

The cashew cheese is worth its weight in gold. Service always impeccable, never had food I didn't love. The grilled cheese with sweet raspberry notes is delicious. The tofu chickn fingers are so filling and crispy and comes with the [censored] best sauces. It's a tad pricey but just so worth it

My husband and I absolutely love this place! All-vegan food options with the most delicious dishes! They constantly are rotating out desserts and cocktails too, so they never get old. Sometimes they have live music playing at the restaurant too, which is always nice.

Staff is very attentive and are knowledgeable in menu items.
Many items can be modified to your liking or dietary. Love that they ask if need be gf, soy, nut free.
The food was very tasty and appealing looking. The portion sizes are definitely enough.
Overall, loved this restaurant, the staff, the vibe, and the food. Would come again.

I'm so grateful for Detroit Street Filling Station! You've read the other reviews here -- you've seen the food suggestions. Seriously EVERYTHING is amazing. Check out the Northstar Lounge which is attached to Detroit Street Filing Station. They have live music and vegan apps and drinks. It's an incredible way to spend an evening!

Every dish I've ordered from DSFS has been delicious. Personal favorites are the treetown tempeh reuben (for sauerkraut lovers), general tso's cauliflower, chik'n fried tofu with yum yum sauce, taco bout it salad, and the monster cookie for dessert 🤤 Also has a lovely outdoor dining area and super friendly staff.

I loved the vibes and the food! Everything on the menu is vegan and there are quite a few gluten free options as well. Desserts, drinks, merch, and tons of cool things going on in the restaurant during the week. 10/10 would visit again!
