Detox Delight

A welcome new addition to this corner of Paris, this Detox Delight is located inside the CMG Sports Club on rue Boursault and members of the gym get 10% off. It's very nice to see a mainstream place focusing on plant-based foods as the healthiest choice.

It occupies a spacious area a bit apart from the rest of the gym on the ground floor, but you can still see people coming and going to the various floors of the gym through the window. It kind of makes you want to go work out yourself (well, after digesting). The eating area is quite spacious and cheerful, filled with hanging plants.

The person I spoke with there said that the food, including the desserts, is always vegan, but that honey is used in some of the hot drinks (the golden mylk and one other that I can't remember). But as they also use agave syrup, I imagine that you can easily ask them to use that instead of honey in a hot drink.

All the food is packaged for takeaway, but if you opt to eat there they will plate your salad in a ceramic bowl and heat up your soup.

We had two hearty salads ("Sunny Superfood" and "Lentille Verte du Puy"), a soup (apple-parsnip), juices ("Yellow" and "Super Green") and a cashew cheesecake with blueberry sauce (sweetened with agave syrup). It was all very good. You can also buy raw bars.

Another great thing is that it's open on Sundays!

Detox Delight is a juice bar, so, as expected, there are plenty of cold-pressed juices and drinks.
The food is totally vegan, and includes porridges, salads, makis and soups. Soups can be warmed on request (everything is in the fridge, ready to take out).

They also have some desserts; but on the day I was there they had only raw vegan cookies. In the other branch they sell non-vegan desserts; but I was not able to confirm if it's the same case in this branch or not.

Prices are standard for cold-press juices (€8.90); and most of the food is also around that price range.

The service was nice and helpful.
