Amazing - Edit
There was absolutely nothing to criticize. Amazing adventurous food, friendly staff, all vegan and really not expensive for the quality of food and the full flavours.

Impressive creativity making vegan sushi - Edit
Just when you enter you realize the care they pay to the details and this is translated into their food.
Read moreThe starters are Nippon fusion food and I was very satisfied with it. Still their star is the sushi selection that I found incredibly tasty and not to be found anywhere else.
The staff is very helpful and they can communicate both in Spanish and English.

Great food with a lot of options, would definitely visit again. Unfortunately the service for us was incredibly slow (not enough to knock it down to four stars but certainly worth noting)

Ramen e tapas spettacolari - Edit

Inventive Asian fusion - Edit
There's a whole range of Asian-inspired food here, and what we tasted was great. The sushi was inventive and varied, different to a lot of vegan sushi I've had which can be heavy on the avocado/cucumber. The pad thai was tangy, the homemade snickers had a good amount of salt in to balance the sweetness of the caramel and their take on the sachertorte was rich with a light sponge.

good service good food good portions - Edit
I took three tapas, the oishi broccoli, avocado katsu sando, korean bravas. I was doubting it was enough, cause mostly three tapas are not enough, but these were very decent portions.
Read moreBravas were the best ones I had so far. I dont know what the put on them, but it was delicous. The broccoli also very nice. The avocado katsu sando was a little less my taste but not bad. Unfortunately no space for dessert.
Service was very friendly and good.
Looking at the menu (I do dislike their website maybe Im a bit to autistic, but their homepage gives me a headache) I think a can carve out one more meal that I would like to try and I will have to try some of the cocktails and dessert.
Overall good value for money, definitely worth a try.
Pros: food, portion size, decent prices
Cons: no real cons

La comida es muy elaborada y curiosa, pero es bastante caro y no hubo ningún plato que realmente destacase en cuanto a sabor. Está bien para ir a conocerlo, el lugar es muy moderno y colorido.

Good but not that good! - Edit
We visited Desoriente for dinner one evening. We knew it woud be popular based on its stellar reviews on TripAdvisor (number 2 in the entire city at the time of writing) and other platforms including this one, so we went early as we didn't have a booking.
Read moreOnly one table inside was occupied when we arrived just before 7pm but we were told that they were fully booked and that all that was available was the terrace. We were glad to get a table so took them up on the offer even though we knew they'd add an extra 10% to our bill for the privelege. Over the next fifteen minutes or so, a few other diners with reservations turned up and were shown to their tables inside. We felt pretty forgotten and neglected outside watching them being served drinks while we waited & waited - in fact we were just about to leave when the waiter finally came outside and took our order at 715pm. By the time we left at 815pm, half of the tables inside were still empty so I'm really not sure why they couldn't seat us inside. My advise would be to make a reservation!
Anyway, enough about the service - what about the food? They serve Asian-fusion tapas, sushi and a few mains such as pad Thai and ramen. We decided to share some of the tapas. We were going to order five of the six items on offer but the waiter rightly advised that four would probably be enough so we ditched one item. The four dishes we did order arrived quite quickly but everything came at once, which is a shame as things got cold pretty quickly. I'd expected great things but in truth what we had was of mixed quality. The oishi brocolli was excellent as many others have said. So were the wasabi croquettes. The teriyaki gyozas weren't anything special. The big disappointment was the Korean bravas. We expected an interesting take on patatas bravas but what we got were potatoes smeared in far too much aioli, far too little bravas sauce and little more than a hint of the kimchi that was meant to be the Korean element.
Prices are pretty reasonable - the two of us ate for less than €40 including a beer each and the 10% terrace surcharge.
Pros: 100% vegan, The brocoli dish is to die for - don't miss it
Cons: Poor service, 10% terrace surcharge, Not as good as it is made out to be

Great approach on Asian tastes. We ate four starters - broccoli, gyoza, bikini and bravas. Each was delicious in its own distinctive way - nutty, spicy, sweet and savory.

Trendy fusion - Edit
Very good and trendy place with lots of options for appetizers, mains and dessert. Went with my family (no one besides me is vegan) and they enjoyed it.

Amazing fusion food - Edit
Despite a smaller menu and not so friendly service, Desoriente has some of the best vegan food I've eaten in Barcelona.
Read morePrices are higher than average, and servings are kind of small, but the quality of the food is astounding, and the recipes are quite original.
I want to shout out the Broccoli, which is fried and tossed in a decadent sauce, and was our favorite dish.

good, could be better - Edit
nice place with futuristic design.
Read moresushi menu didn’t impress.
ramen is nice but could be richer with ingredients and soup. it was a little too dry. more like noodles with a sauce, rather than a soup
non alcohol cocktails are in a beautiful glasses but just a bunch of ice with mostly nothing to drink
location is quite far from centre
i think the menu could be more various
and in general i don’t follow why vegan sushi cost like 16 euro for a portion. but this question isn’t for this place only, another sushi place in bcn has the same price. but im not agree with that since ingredients are pretty simple, despite the description does sound extra #Veganuary
