This is probably the best place to eat Vegan in Des Moines. Had the Crispy Chickpea sandwich with a salad; both are very tasty.

This was my favorite vegan food in Des Moines, and it's all vegan! Mac & cheese bites were good to see on the menu because yum, a rarity in the vegan world. They seem to have a lot of specials that rotate and a core menu.

We went to Des Fresh today for lunch. My very picky (meat eating) husband got the fried tacos. He loved them! I got the crispy ranch with wedges. The sandwich actually was crispy and the wedges were great. I ended up get their bottled ranch as well.

I love Des Fresh! Great food (like seriously mouthwatering) there is not a bad thing on the menu! Great service! They know and recognize my family when we stop in. I could eat here everyday! It is my go to restaurant when I go to Des Moines on the weekend. You won't regret giving this restaurant your business!

I absolutely love everything I have tried here! (And I’ve tried most of the menu at this point). My favorite is the tenderloin because it was a childhood favorite, but the sushiritto is also to die for!

Good for vegan midwestern food - Edit
I’ll be honest. Even though I grew up in Iowa, I have never really liked midwestern food. Too much meat and not enough flavor. And that was before I went vegan. That said, I still really enjoyed this place. They do their crispy chickpea dishes well, and if you like tenderloins, you are in luck. The drinks are quite good, and the sides are fun.

Sushirito is very good - Edit
I just had the sushirito and it was very good: fried just the right amount to give it a satisfying crunch without feeling too oily. It is a little pricey ($18), but I was satisfied. If I’m ever back in Des Moines I will come back here - so glad this all vegan spot exists!

I have only had food from here once and that was at the farmers market. I had the loaded lentil nachos and wasn't a fan. There wasnt much flavor to it and was very plain. If you're into healthier foods that you can taste are healthy this would be a good place, but if you like lots of flavor maybe not right now. I'm hoping to stop by again soon and try something different to see if it can renew itself. If it can I'll update this later.

Had the summer salad n crispy cauliflower, chick stack n wedges, and des fresh burger. The food was delicious with a beautiful presentation of edible flowers as garnish.

Pineapple Express was fried cauliflower with pineapple and teriyaki sauce and rice
They usually have a "chicken" sandwich with either side of chips or yuca fries.
And my favorite are the eggrolls!
They do an amazing job of of clearly stating and including what is in each item on their menu! I've been to this stand 4 or 5 times already and each time they are polite and service is fast!
