Beautiful area 🌸 and vegan cake - Edit
After a walk through the nearby Büsenbachtal, enjoying the heath blossom, I was more than surprised to spot two vegan options on the extensive cake menu (18 cakes/2 vegan). I ordered the vegan cheese cake which had unexpectedly berries on it but was very yummy. Also the hot chocolate with oat milk was very good. Large area to sit outside in summer. Would definitely come again for cake after walking.

The restaurant is located in an old barn in the middle of beautiful nature. Open-air concerts are also held here in summer. In general, the area seems spacious and inviting. We were here for dinner. There are a few vegan options. The vegan starter (hummus with grilled vegetables) was very tasty and creatively presented. Although you actually have to order and pay extra for animal ingredients in the vegan dishes, I had parmesan in my gnocchi (luckily separately in a small bowl). It is a good idea to explicitly tell the staff when ordering that you would like the dish to be vegan. It still tasted very good and was more than sufficient. The staff were very friendly, but could have been a bit more attentive. There were a lot of staff on site, but it didn't seem to be entirely clear who was responsible for what.

Very rustic location and good vegan options - Edit
We were here with the company after a voluntary assignment in the Lüneburg Heath. There is plant milk for the coffee, a good selection of vegan cakes and a lentil dal for the main course. Both were very tasty and filled me up. For dessert I had a walnut date cake, which was a bit dry. I can't say anything about the prices because the company paid. In addition to some seats inside, there are also many outside. Overall, the location is beautifully rustic and worth a visit!

Nettes Restaurant mit vielen veganen Speisen (Herzhaftes und Kuchen) im malerischen Büsenbachtal. Der Kuchen war auf jeden Fall Klasse. Schön, dass es so etwas im doch recht weit von Hamburg entfernten Handeloh gibt.

Das Restaurant ist leicht zu Fuß erreichbar vom Bahn-Haltepunkt "Büsenbachtal".
Es gibt im Garten des Restaurants außerdem ein paar tierische Bewohner (Kaninchen, Schafe, Hühner).
Zudem soll wohl im Garten in der Sommerzeit wöchentlich klassische Musik live zu hören sein.

We went there to have some cake and coffee, it was very crowded in the huge garden. With some waiting time, you surely get a table. They also sold cakes and some other food to take away. We chose the latter:They had three different kinds of cakes (chocolate, plum streusel and banana bread). The banana bread was tasty, with fruits and nuts, and very rich. The plum streusel was a big piece and also very tasty. The lady selling the cakes was friendly and patient, despite the long queue.

One of the few places offering vegan options in this area. Rather than for the food, I would come back because of the great atmosphere and garden. The staff was very kind and double checked everything to make sure it is vegan. Instead of using cacao powder they used vegan dark chocolate for the iced "hot" chocolate. They have various vegan options including two types of cake, drinks (soy/ oat milk), sandwiches, Gnocchi, soup and more. The food was delicious but nothing too special and a bit expensive. However, the portions were big and the service great. They also have animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs and sheep, and nearby is a path for taking a stroll.

A beautiful place, in the middle of nature, with few vegan food choices (few salads, soup and desserts) I was a bit sad to saw so few choices but at least everything was really tasty, fresh and portions correct. The cakes was really nice !!!
