Was really tasty and the girl behind the counter super nice. Portions were very decent and lots of extra toppings to choose on your dish. Simple idea but we'll executed in a nice atmosphere, for small money

Der Dicke Schmidt is located in the nice part of Dresden (far away from the old city center) and has a nice vibe going. We ordered the potato salad with herring and the gyros. Both were good in taste and portion but a bit heavy on the stomach (like vegan fastfood can be).
Also sells some nice records.

Solid vegan kebab - Edit
Nice spot with very tasty "kebab" style tortillas and full meals. Do not expect fancy, healthy food there, but it's tasty and well prepared for sure.
Prices are low, and portions are big.

The kebap is very delicious and you can choose between seitan and soy "meat" and several toppings and sauces. There are changeing weekly dishes and you can also get fresh food like "egg" salad or marinated soy steaks.

Really tasty vegan kebab. I had the soya based one and my husband had seitan. Both were really tasty and came with lots of salad. Each of our meals were 4.50 Euro.
Definitely recommend if you like kebabs!!

This place has great giant tasty sammiches. It's like a vegan döner style fast food place, complete with a rotating slab of seitan. The sammiches are FAT, definitely worthy of the restaurant's name. You can get either gyro- style seitan or some tasty soy based veggie "meat." Either also comes with fresh veggies and your choice of a few sauces. There's also a little deli counter with a few take- away options.

This tiny shop offers a small range of awesome vegan fast food. I love the Dicker Schmidt, which is a doner with seitan. Nice shop, and even nicer people around there. Love it! :)

Der Dicke Schmidt has a small range of very yummy food - mainly kebap style in various options of sauces and extras. Reasonable pricing, take away possible. Also offers fake meat and sausages for home preparation.
