Den Okologiske Polsemand Food Truck
Serves meat, vegan options available. An organic hot dog stand, has a vegan dog served on a vegan bun with toppings. Knows about veganism. The sausage and bread is entirely vegan - the choice of toppings determine whether it is vegan or vegetarian. Please note they serve meat too, but they keep veg condiments and sausages apart from non veg things. Prepares the vegan dogs on a separate part of the grill. Open Mon-Sat 11:00am-6:30pm.

authentic street food! - Edit
What can I say, it's a street cart hot dog? Nothing stood out about the dog itself, but I was thrilled to find some authentic vegan street food. Quick, easy, cheap!

Yummy Hotdog - Edit
If you are looking for hot dogs in Cph you should come here! It has the perfect Danish hot dog food truck atmosphere. The veggie sausages are made seperately from the meat sausages and the employees usually know which condiments are vegan and which are not. You can get a french hot dog or a regular one - all vegan.
Pros: two different kinds of hot dogs, good location in middle of town, nice atmosphere

... - Edit
I went to this place after reading all the good reviews and was disappointed. The guy at Døp was kinda rude (but this is just very Danish, so it's ok). The real problem is that he was not familiar with veganism, even though some reviews here said they knew what veganism was. I repeated three times that I wanted a vegan roasted hot dog and he was still offering me all the toppings. Thank god I knew that remoulade is not vegan and told him about this. He was kinda surprised "So you can't eat dairy?". After that, I was really unsure about what I ate. They say it's vegan, but they don't seem to know what that is... The taste was just okay, nothing exceptional. Not worth the risk.
Update: Tried it for a second time and there was a different attendant this time. He knew what veganism was and was also friendly.

DOP organics - Edit
You know when you get back from vacation and you suffer from post vacation depression? And sometimes the only thing to do is try and recreate food from the place you visited in order to mentally go back on holiday? Well, the day I got home I went to the store and bought supplies to make hot dogs piled high with mustard, pickles, onions, and fried onions. It wasn't the same as DOP Organics, but I was happy for a moment.
DOP organics is a must visit, in my opinion. It's located in a very touristy part of town, but you've gotta do that at some point, right? Ride bikes there, grab a hot dog, check out the church, head down the street to Nyhavn.
We tried most of their options, but my favorite is the straight up traditional hot dog with all the fixings.
Pros: Cheap, Location, Delicious choices
Cons: None!

Nice snack - Edit
It is pretty difficult to find something cheap and vegan to eat in Copenhagen. The hot dogs here are both and also very tasty.
Unfortunately this truck is not around all the time but make sure to get a vegan danish hot dog when you spot it!
Pros: cheap, filling
Cons: not always there

Amazing - Edit
Super good hot dog! I love that it's made of tofu and the beetroots on the side and mashed potatoes is amazing. Also big plus for danish mustard.
Pros: Vegan sausage, Vegan mashed potatoes, The mustard
Cons: Would be nice with some vegan remoulade

Tasty quick food - Edit
This place probably does move but we found it on the main pedestrianised shopping street, opposite & Other Stories, next to Helligandskirken. It was nice to be able to try some of Denmark's 'traditional' grub in vegan form, and it was actually really tasty! In the end we had it twice in two days. It's a pretty cheap snack in a city with a lot of expensive places to eat, so definitely worth it if you're on a budget. Depending on different appetites, this is probably not a full meal, but would be fine for lunch accompanied with something else like a cake or a piece of fruit. Do mention that you're vegan.
Pros: Cheap, Central Location, Veganised 'Traditional' Food
Cons: Not Healthy, Bigger Than a Snack, Smaller than a Meal

one of my favorite meals in Copenhagen! - Edit
Now I'm not Danish, but these hot dog carts were EVERYWHERE so they certainly seemed pretty quintessential. And it was really lovely to get to try one because it felt like a part of experiencing Copenhagen. It was also lovely to try one because it was delicious. I know, I know, it's just a veggie dog (although I definitely wish we had vegan hot dogs at street carts in NY) but it was really very good. The folks at the cart were friendly and helpful and knew exactly what vegan meant and which items were and which weren't. The menu was also clearly marked. I had mine with mash and roots (as others have noted, that's potatoes and beets) and a delightful ginger brew. Also, as that part of the world is one of the most expensive for Americans right now, this was the best bargain of my time in Copenhagen in addition to being one of the tastist meals. In my opinion, not to be missed!
Pros: delicious!, a copenhagen experience!, friendly and knowledgeable folks
Cons: soy-based, if you're avoiding soy, limited hours - check before you go!, can be hard to find for tourists

Ok - Edit
Nothing fancy, it is a hot dog stand that sometimes keeps changing its location. Its ok, not a fan of junk food was just giving it a try. Will go there occasionally. If you love hot dogs then its a good place. Toppings kept falling out of the roll.
Hot dogs with fillings like fried onions, tomato sauce, pickles, lettuce and mustard sause
Pros: Whole wheat rolls, Organic
Cons: Has meat, Toppings not held securely in roll

Quite tasty vegan hotdog - Edit
I've had this a few times after reading about this stand offering a vegan option. It's really nice because they do consider a vegan/vegetarians needs by keeping the hot dogs completely separate from the meat. They also use separate tongs for the veg dogs. You do have to be sure and say that you need them to be vegan or else they might put on a mayo sauce. They have some really nice other vegan sauces, as well as a few other toppings such as fried onion, regular onions and even pickled beets. It's not too bad a price for Copenhagen at 39 DKK (around $6). Also, the bun is whole wheat which is a bonus. I don't eat this often, but once in awhile it's a nice treat.
Pros: Vegan hot dog option, Organic, Nice and different toppings
Cons: Only one option

Wish there were more of these around! - Edit
A hotdog stand that offers organic, vegan hotdogs? Count me in! Great on-the-go food and conveniently placed in the tourist-y shopping area called Strøget. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
Pros: Good vegan hotdogs!, Cheap, Convenient
Cons: Wish there were more of these stands

Quick sausage on the go! - Edit
This take-away stall offers all organic sausages with the option to have them served in a roll or with beetroot and mash potato.
One of the choices is a vegetarian sausage which was quite large and tasty. It's a decent enough choice if in a hurry and just need a quick bite to eat. The veggie sausages were being cooked and stored on a separate grill from the meat ones
DKK34 for the sausage and mash.
Pros: Quick, Tasty
Cons: Nowhere to sit

Great for a quick snack! - Edit
Great place for a snack - I had the roasted tofu sausage with "everything" (specify "no remulade" - it's a sauce - if you're vegan, because that isn't).
You can also make your hotdog french, or serve it with "mashed roots" (potatoes I think?) and with a side of cubed beets. Definitely coming back.
Pros: Accept credit cards, Great snack
