Humble comfort food with generous hosts - Edit
They serve refreshing tasty organic fruit juices using produce of their own garden. We had passion fruit juice and mango juice. Both were tasty.
Read moreFor food, they have limited menu but accommodative of vegetarian and vegan requirements. We had veg fried rice. The portion size was big and it came with a side of veg curry which paired well with the rice.
Pros: Fresh produce, Good hosts
Cons: Limited menu

Simple but tasty - Edit
The friendly owner gave us a tour through his garden. Most things they cook are prepared with their own ingredients. We started with fresh juices which were amazing. They didn't provide a menu so the choices were super limited. We informed the owner that we're vegan and he asked if a rice dish would be okay which we confirmed. The food was made super fast and tasted really good. A sort of fried rice with herbs and veggies. He even harvested a watermelon from the garden and cut it open for us.

Fresh juices, the owner picked passion fruit directly from the trees.
The staff were chatty, wanting to know how we knew about them and encouraged us to share on the internet.
Arranged a tuk tuk back to our hotel.
2200lkr for hoppers and kotu with 3 drinks (family of four).
Pros: They use home grown produce as much as possible, Staff
Cons: As with all Sri Lankan drinks, too much sugar.

Great buffet - Edit
Worth a tuktuk from town (4km from cave temple) for this purely vegetarian cafe. We went for lunch and there was a buffet of around 5 curry dishes and rice for 450 rupees. Tasty, not too spicy, included breadfruit and sri lankan eggplant. Delish
