Charleston Classic! We love Dellz - Edit
Whenever you think of Vegan and Charleston, Dellz should be the first thing that comes to mind. It is an iconic restaurant for lunch or late-night munchies that you feel good eating. The restaurant is covered in old vinyl record covers and you can usually listen to a Bob Marley track as you mow down on any of the tried-and-true options.
Start off with a huge plate of Snobby Nachos or dive into a BLT wrap. Either way, you are winning. The smoothies & juices are a force to be reckoned with. Oh, did you want tacos? Well, you can have those too?
The menu offers so many delicious things, I'm certain you won't eat there just once. It is kid-friendly too! Support small businesses and get your fest on at Dellz.
Pros: Deliciousness , Chill vibe, Awesome music
Cons: Hard to park, A bit pricey

The Snobby Nachos disappeared in no time! - Edit
The Snobby Nachos vanished almost immediately, so good that my husband (not a vegan) ate them up even quicker than I did. What a treat to have such great vegan nachos! They were every bit as good as I had heard.
On the first visit, we ordered the Jazzy Pizza (vegetarian, with one half no cheese, no spicy sour cream to make half of it vegan). We also ordered the Long Life Salad with homemade goddess dressing, the Portobello wrap for my husband, the BLT wrap for me.
The Jazzy pizza was good, but I would order the vegan Jazzy pizza next time for an even jazzier experience. My husband liked his portobello wrap the best of all.
The long life salad was so good and the produce so fresh that I ordered it on both visits. It ordered the large size and loved it! This was serious veggie love--and with homemade goddess dressing! So good!
The BLT wrap was good, but the huge wrap was overwhelmed by not enough vegan bacon effect.
Our second visit, the next day, started with Snobby nachos, which we loved. We also had the Long Life salad, excellent again, plus two new brunch items. My husband liked his breakfast wrap while I found my vegan hash wrap to be delicious, warming, and comforting on a very cold day. We also ordered a Hummer wrap to go, full of homemade red pepper hummus. That was excellent, even hours later! We both loved that.
Deliz is a casual restaurant in an old house. It has a wall painting of a waterfall in an exotic location. There is fun music playing, cucumber or pineapple water in the back of the restaurant.
The staff is great, and the kitchen staff prepares the food with the freshest veggies and fruit, plenty of attention. (I love that so many of our meals came with slices of very fresh pineapple, other fruit.)
I am hoping to get back to Deliz again soon to try the Snobby Nachos again, the vegan Jazzy pizza to get that full jazzy effect, the Snobby Joe wrap which I heard others talking about--plus other items. There is so much to choose from on the menus!
Deliz Uptown is a true treasure!! This is a place with a wonderful vibe, a great place to relax and unwind. The staff is great, the food is excellent, and vegans will find so many choices on the menus.
Pros: Deliz has a great vibe, very relaxing, good music., Dressing, hummus, other items made inhouse., The veggies and fruit are so fresh! Salads rock!
Cons: Seating can fill up fast at times.

By far my favorite in Charleston - Edit
This place is so so so cute. It is located on the bottom floor of a typical Charleston house. There are quite a lot of vegan options on the menu. While I should probably try more of the items, the Bean and Rice Bowl is what I usually order and I love it. It comes with brown rice, black beans, mango salsa, goddess dressing, avocado, sprouts, spicy sauce. The goddess dressing is so delicious. Could add vegan cheese but I never do. There is something for everyone on the menu and everyone that I have brought here (all non-veg) have really enjoyed it as well.
Pros: delicious
Cons: none

Amazing food, atmosphere and service! - Edit
We ordered vegan nachos, vegan cordon blue wrap and the vegan chik'n bacon wrap. So ridiculously good we gobbled it up like a couple of pigs. Excellent flavors in the food and very relaxed atmosphere playing great feel good music. Definitely a MUST eat at if you visit Charleston. We are both vegan and the menu had so many options and they can veganize anything that isn't.

Outstanding - Edit
Over the weekend we visited Charleston, so naturally, we checked out HappyCow, to see where we could get some good vegan food. We stopped by diggity doughnuts, as we love to try a good vegan donut. On the way out, we looked to see which vegan friendly locations were close by. I called a few locations to see what they had on the menu. A lot of folks had salads they could veganize, but we were looking for a little more than just salad . . . I called Dellz Uptown, and the individual I spoke to went through a variety of options on the menu. She was extremely friendly, and asked that we come give them a try. I was sold! The menu sounded great, and the staff was very friendly. We were NOT disappointed. We ordered the Chicken and Bacon wrap, Cordon Blue wrap, and the Nachos with veggie beef crumbles. The Nachos alone were some of the VERY best vegan nachos we have ever had. BY FAR. We didn't even get to the wraps while they were still warm, because the nachos were so delicious, and filling. I will tell you, without a doubt, the nachos alone bring this restaurants rating to a 5, although I realize they can only get 4 because they are non-vegan. We enjoyed the wraps later that evening, although I am certain they were more delicious when they were fresh. We WILL be going back during our next visit to Charleston!
Pros: Delicious Nachos!, Many Vegan Options, 5 Happy Cows!

Delicious - Edit
Would be a five star rating if not for slightly crowded seating. Very vegan friendly and the food was great. The hummus plate was outstanding, not just hummus. I will definitely eat here again if back in charleston.

Fave Vegan/Gluten-Free restaurant in CHS - Edit
This is the best vegan restaurant that I have found in Charleston. I try something different on every visit, as the menu is full of a variety of delicious and diverse choices. Every entree I've ordered has been great. Most recently, the BLT wrap I ordered is my new favorite. And at $8, one of the cheaper items on the menu to boot. The drinking water is usually infused with a plant of some sort. Usually cucumber or pineapple. A nice improvement over the usual tap with lemon.
Additionally, my wife, who has Celiac's Disease, can vouch that their gluten-free choices are truly gluten-free.
Every single member of the staff that I have met is super-friendly and more than happy to accommodate any questions or requests.
Pros: Delicous vegan & gluten-free food, Affordable, Friendly staff
Cons: Very little parking, Organic & GF items can be expensive

Best vegan joint around Charlston - Edit
Best veggie spot in Charleston! A lot of the standard types of options, wraps, bowls, salads, but done right and not at all bland like some spots. Vegan pizza and nachos too! One of the best hot sauce selections around as well!
Pros: great tastes, Reasonable prices, Things can be made non-vegan by request as opposed
Cons: smallish restaurant

Excellent Service - Edit
The food was delicious and the owner, (who took my order,) was very friendly. Since it was my first visit, I didn't ask about the "why is this not fully vegan" question. He offered up that he is "vegetarian" so..... I think he is very brave to have such an establishment in a state where so many people actually go fishing and hunting.
I hope the place does very well!
Pros: Friendly Staff, Good food, Great location
Cons: Not entirely vegan, Expensive, Limited hours
