What a bizarre culinary experience... - Edit
I don't know what to think of my experience in this place.
Read moreFirst of, we got there at 6pm when opening hours stated it closes at 10pm, yet the owner was ready to close. When we approached the restaurant, she invited us in and sat us down in a grim, messy room lit with white hospital lighting and boxes scattered in the corners. We felt obligated to stay. She told us that since she was gonna close, 80% of her menu was unavailable. All that was available was a 7,50€ avocado sandwich (2 pieces of avocado between two toasts) and a 11,50€ noodles (rice noodles with lettuce and 2 slices of avocado). She was quite pushy and seemed very odd and uncomfortable, which in turn made us uncomfortable. We thought about leaving several times but didn't want to be rude. In fact, a lady who walked in after us did leave as she felt uneasy as well. All in all, I think prices are extremely disproportionate and the restaurant's atmosphere is quite grim, but we eventually did have a nice conversation with the owner about veganism and animal rights. We understood that the owner is very passionate about her values and that is why she might sometimes seem odd, but in restauration much like in retail, the business serves the customer, not the other way around, and that must be why the place was so quiet.
We enjoyed the chat but left hungry and uneasy.

Passive smoking is not Vegan - Edit
The worst experience ever. I am yoga teacher since 2004. Internationally certified. 1st (!) time in my life I have seen a smoker (aggressive smoker) in a vegan place. Why I should be passively smoking in a vegan place?

Pros: Good location, close to yoga center

Extremely overpriced - Edit
I would rate it one star if it weren’t for happycow’s 100% vegan 2 star policy. I had a salad which was just leaves, raw shredded sweet potato, some pomegranate and a tiny bit of avocado with a light dressing (€14.50!!) and my friend had what was meant to be a “quinoa wrap” but was just a salad with a quinoa crisp thing (€17.50). She also charged us 50c each for tap water because it was in take-away cups! Only had half the things on the menu and the vibe was very weird. Do not recommend.

Two stars is too much - Edit
The owner was extremely rude. Most of my party didn’t speak German so my friend was translating the menu to them. However, she would not accept to be translated and kept screaming at them to look at her face and not at my friend. The place was also incredibly small and humid.

Rude owner, way too expensive, tiny - Edit
We came to this place for lunch (we were three people). There was a menu in front of the door with dishes that cost between 13,50 and 16,50€, which is a lot for a curry or a quinoa salad. We also wanted to sit, but when we looked inside through the glass door, the place was literally insanely small, with two chairs facing the walls and a tiny table on the other wall (there weren't even other people there, there's just literally no space). As we were standing in front of the place debating where to eat, the owner suddenly opened the door and asked us (in a bossy tone) to come inside. She then proceeded to show us pictures of her food and tell us why it is so expensive, then told us we were rude for pointing out (to each other, not her) that the place was small & expensive, showed us random photos of customers that had been there, boasted about herself and was just being plain rude and horrible. I genuinely hope this woman goes out of business soon, she's giving veganism a really ugly face.

Quality has his Price and shows the Difference to notquality Mainstream Food. What do you expect when you are standing in front of the Door and spread negative Energy that the Restaurant in a very exklusive and fancy Area is so small in a Time when Vegansim is still a Niche. That happend not often but its always the Same with People they dont support vegan & healthy Restaurants like mine and make it comfortble and find enogh Place to sit. I have a lot of Guests they are the opposit: they come with Family or Friends, bring positive Energy in my small little Peacecenter and appreciate my Food and my Service. You really want that Peoplelike me goes out of vegan Business to spread veganism and offer really healthy and high quality Food with a lot of popular vegan Ingdredients? Look my Website how many People support me spread positive Energy and love my Food. I think that People like you should never post negative Reviews. You can think about yourself for Things you didnt like, but really positive People support vegan Busuiness also when they dont like the Food or something happend they didnt like it when they were there. I also find some Things from other vegan Restaurants not good, but i would never write a negative Review

There's just one table and that's on the pavement but the bistro is none the worse for that. We chatted with the very friendly owner and had two bowls of black rice noodles and veg. Simple home cooking really, but simple doesn't mean tasteless and the food was delicious.

This is a very special space that Martina has created. The food is not by any means vegan junk food, it's all very carefully done with your health in mind. I went to it because "raw" vegan restaurants tend to be of a higher-than-average quality and it was especially true at this restaurant.

Bijou Bistro - Edit
This is a small and quirky bistro, and it is definitely more like eating at a friend's house than a conventional restaurant. The owner is very friendly, and passionate about all things vegan. There are two lovely dogs - Axl and Schoko, who have perfect manners. The food is very good indeed, and cooked fresh for each person. I really hope that Martina is able to move into a larger premises so that more people can enjoy the meals and the company.

Not an ordinary restaurant - Edit
Decoyed by the many positive reviews here I decided to give Delicious Vegan a try and went there three weeks ago. I intended to eat an early lunch, but sadly no one was there. There was advertising panel outside, stating the daily menu, but there was also a "back in 10 minutes"-note at the door. After waiting for about 20 minutes I left and came back in the evening.
Read moreI think it's quite important to understand what you get yourself into by visiting Delicious Vegan as it's no ordinary restaurant. First of all, it's really tiny inside, there are two small tables and a bar with few stools or something, and it's really cramped. In addition to that there was a huge dog basket with two grown dogs inside.
Martina, the owner, is a host who cares about her guests, she is very welcoming and imparting. There were few books of hers lying around, something about cooking, health, pets, I don't really remember.
However, I got a dish with rice noodles, some vegetables and peanut-like sauce. Nothing too special in my opinion, but tasty and somewhat filling. I noted that Martina pays attention not only to the taste but also quite a bit to the colours of the ingredients. To this a lupines coffee that tasted like Turkish coffee (interesting, never tried it before, not bad). Desserts were out, so that was it.
The food is a bit on the expensive side, which isn't surprising considering that the ower has to make a living from this small eatery. Surely it was an interesting visit and I was satisfied after all, however, Delicious Vegan isn't a restaurant for everybody. Sure, it's centrally located, but the venue isn't really appealing, it just isn't. The ventilation is bad on top of that. It's like a living room someone invited you in to cook for you. But if you're OK with that, don't mind dogs and like to chat, then that's your place!
Pros: personal service, tasty and healthy dishes
Cons: unappealing venue, rather expensive

sometimes i really think, if people dont have other important things to do, to write nearly everything in their reviews. and i think also, that its fair, that also the restaurants gives reviews about their guests: so its really false (thats humans) that some guests are friendly but false, give the felling that they enjoy everything and everything is ok, but after the leave the write reviews like that. i mean this person writes in the review, that there was i sign in front of the door, that i (iam the owner) will come in 10 minutes. Owners of restaurants has a lot to do. the Naschmarket is for the most people the most fancy area in vienna and also everything costs a lot of money and the mainstream is far away from vegan, modern and healthy food. so this is the reason, why i dont have at the moment a bigger restaurant, but i have a small vegan restaurant in the most fancy area in vienna and i spread with my vegan kitchen and the messages on my door (front) the vegansim out, that the not vegan People recognize that the Veganims exists. So you really remember me on one Couple once they were also Guests in my vegan Bistro last year:
Read moreThe Mother with her Son. They both told me how delicioius my Food is and the Son leaked the Plate after he was finished with the Food. He also had the black Quinoa with creamy Peanutsauce (one of my most popular Dishes) and my special the Raw Wrap of black Quinoa. So i said to the Son, if you like my Food so much that you aso leak the Plate, more People has to know this, because sometimes i get bad reviews from false People they dont have the Taste for my Food or they dont appreciate. And the Mother and the Son, said, yes, thats true we know this kind of People and its a pitty tha this kind of People (mostly non vegans) spread their negativity or negativism unnecessary around. And then they leave. A few Days later, i read their review and she wrotes: Martina ask me if i can write a positive review and i thought thats unusual but a good idea, so write one.
The most diificult thing having a own restaurant is, to make it for everybody right, thats impossible, so i do it like i do it. And yes, my restaurant is personal because of me, and the small size (but i also have a lots of Families they come with their Kids and Parents like from Israel, Argentinia, US...) and i have so many special Guests, they love my atmosphäre, me, my Food and my Power to spread the Veganism in the most fancy Area in Vienna with only not Vegan Restaurants
