Owned by Lucia, a vegan nutritionist

Deli De Las Rosas is a great place to grab a healthy and delicious meal. The owner is a vegan nutritionist, so you can be sure that all of the food is prepared with your health in mind.

I had the vegan sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious. The flavors were all perfectly balanced, and the dish was very filling. I also tried a smoothy, which was also very good.

The staff at Deli De Las Rosas is very friendly and knowledgeable. They were able to answer all of my questions about the vegan options, and they were very accommodating.

Overall, I had a great experience at Deli De Las Rosas. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a healthy and delicious meal.

Pros: River view, Friendly staff, Vegan and vegetarian options

New owners Nov 2024 - Fantastic place

Couldn’t leave 5 stars as place isn’t fully vegan/vegetarian.

After travelling in Uruguay and not finding decent coffee I stumbled upon this place as I was staying nearby. Gave it a go despite some negative reviews in the past. Turns out it was great.

Cafe is under new management as of Nov 2024.

Coffee with oat milk available and actually very good and reasonable prices. I was taking coffee daily on my travels in Uruguay. It was so disappointing and expensive time after time that I resorted to Nescafe satchels of instant coffee. Also very few places have vegetable milks.

Went back to Deli de las Rosas 2 times and it was fantastic every time. Happy!!

This place was a delight with a great view and lovely staff. #VeganuarY

Merienda vegana

Ok, but expensive

Had the vegan Toast. The taste was ok, but nothing special and in my opinion to expensive.

Wouldn't recommend

A small cafe. The only vegan food was a toasted pita with violife cheese. Was OK but expensive.

We ordered a coffee with soy milk, which I'm pretty sure was off. It tasted very bad, and when I saw her pour it it was lumpy. Naturally we ended up with a stomach ache.

Raw Vegan Choices

At this cozy little café you can find raw vegan brownies, alfajores, tiramisu and spreads as well as a good choice of smoothies.
Vegans can enjoy delicious sandwiches. They also sell a great variety of organic, vegan and raw ingredients.

Contrary to the description there is no meat served at the place and never has been. It is totally vegetarian, vegan, raw-vegan!

Has violife Vegan Cheese!

Small cosy cafe with great vegan sandwiches. There are no fully vegan places in Colonia unfortunately but this is definitely the best cafe for vegans in the town. It is great to be able to get a coffee with plant milk.

Pros: Lots of vegan choice
