Yeah, they have vegan options, but…

We had a long, rough day, and Artesano was closed by the time we could eat. Del Griego was closed to our hotel, We should have walked further.

We each got a Greek salad and shared an order of falafel and a bowl of lentil soup. The falafel was good and the soup was excellent. The salad was a bowl of sliced cucumber with chopped tomatoes, onion, and s few olives drowning in dressing. We had bottled water to drink. The cost was about $50.

While the food was okay overall, it wasn’t anywhere near worth the price. Last time I ate here I said I wouldn’t go back. Silly me for going back.

Pros: Lentil soup, Nice server, Vegan options marked, but incorrectly

Cons: Price, Vegan options marked, but incorrectly

Entertaining wait staff

Menu is marked vegan or vegetarian, but I received tzatziki sauce with my vegan falafel gyro. Fortunately it was on the side, along with a separate side of hummus, so I didn't need to make a fuss about it. The food is fresh. The wait staff is friendly and fun.

Pros: Menu is marked. , Good service. , Nice decor.

Cons: Served a vegetarian sauce with meal marked vegan

Menu and staff not familiar with veganism

The menu had the eggplant antipasto mark as vegan. I order it and told the waiter that I wanted vegn. And they made it with Parmesan cheese. After I tasted it, I asked the waiter if it had parmessan cheese and he said no. Ask the manager if it had cheese and he said no. And then asked the person that made it and she admited had parmessan cheese.
I don't think the staff actually knows what vegan means and don't think the menu can be trusted on the vegan items.

Cons: Vegan items on menu are not vegan, Staff not trained on veganism

So good!

Their menu specified between “VEG” and “VGN” which we love to see!
Their pita bread is soooo good and love some babaghanoush.
Falafel is nice n crisp. No complaints here😄

AMAZING VEGAN AND VEGGIE FOOD

I was completely amazed and delighted by the amount of of veggie and vegan food I found in this restaurant! The falafel it is for sure one of the best I have ever tried in my travels. They have a mezze appetizer plater with more than 10 veggie samples. The flavours are fresh, and truly delicious. My boyfriend ordered a pasta and aswell was amazing! I would definitely recommend this place to all of the veg community in the world! more than 100 options in their menu!

Pros: A lot of veggie options , food quality was top !, amazing hosting service

Really great food! Try the mint expresso!

Vegan and vegetarian options clearly marked on the menu.. mentioned that I was vegan when ordering and they gave me hummus with my gyro instead of tzatziki. Service was great and the decor in the restaurant was lovely!

Pros: Clearly marked vegan options , Great food

Wonderfully labeled

Everything is labeled if it's vegan or vegetarian. The ambiance is nice, romantic and can be a bit fancy. Waiters very friendly and on it. Food was so good. Best falafels I've ever had. I ate with a family of Israelis and they said it's good fresh pitas because they get hard if you let them sit too long.

Pros: Clearly labeled veg options., Good food, Good service

a bit disappointed

There were vegan options on the menu but not that much. Also the falafel I got was quite average, and it came with tatziki which was not vegan (despite being labelled vegan). For 72q (without a drink) it was verrrry overpriced for a meal in Guatemala - even for back home in Sydney paying $13 Aussie for that I would have felt it was average.

Pros: the waitstaff were lovely and very nice

Cons: food

GREAT VEGAN OPTIONS!

First, the owner of the restaurant will great you. He will also help you. He knows what vegan is and he knows how to make you feel good about your vegan meals.
Second, I have been visiting in Guatemala for many years, this place had saved my life on every trip.
Finally, I highly recommended you to eat here and to come back. Guatemala as vegan is hard, but thanks to "Del Griego" you will enjoy your visit.
