Good food, but service issues - Edit
Del Cielo has a new and very large vegan menu. All their food is good. The waiter was very friendly, and told us that the menu has many errors and will be replaced in the next week or two, when I inquired about what was GF. Also, my husband’s food came 5 minutes before mine. Still well worth a stop if you are in the area.

Cons: Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of service.

Well worth a visit - Edit
The food was delicious. I got the gorditas and Jamaica to drink with tamales to takeaway. It was all delicious! They have a matching vegan menu of all the same things but vegan and same prices. It’s a family business and they are super friendly and nice. Definitely don’t miss it.

Well we went last week and the food was bland and lifeless. They were out of flour tortillas which we found very odd. Anyways it will be a very long while before we go back.

My New Favorite Mexican Restaurant! - Edit
Fantastic plant-based selections! Very creative dishes with homemade, healthy fake meat, & cheese options if you like that. Also jackfruit and hibiscus available for dishes. I had the enchiladas with plant-based asada. It was delicious! We tried a tamale and the pepper was perfectly seasoned with a bit of smoke flavor. Prices are quite reasonable also and the owner is very friendly and welcoming too.

Cons: Cannot think of anything, No plain seltzer water, Maybe the cheese has coconut oil. Sat fat :-(

Amazing menu with soooo many options. Lots of choices of different “meats”. Hubby loves the huevos rancheros & I had the enchiladas last time. We’re trying the tacos and breakfast burrito today!

Lots of options! - Edit
About half the menu is vegan which seems incredible. I've been told they cook everything from scratch, too, and (to be confirmed) may have a buffet with vegan options on Thursdays. I had the jackfruit mole on a normal day, only the 2nd place I've found in 10 years with vegan mole, and it hit the spot! Also tried the vegan concha and it was impressive, had not had bread in such a way before and might give in to having it again. Beans come with vegan cheese on top, so if you avoid that sort of thing you'll have to say "no cheese" just like at a normal restaurant. ;)

The staff was kind and thoughtful. Love the decor, feels very homey. Whole separate vegan menu. They even had a vegan dessert for sale that day. First time having huevos rancheros since being vegan! Cannot wait to go back and try more.

Plenty of Vegan Options - Edit
Tucson"s plant based restaurant options are still quite limited. When we discover a place that is at least "stepping up" to truly acknowledge and embrace our plant based lifestyle, we need to spread the word and support their efforts. My husband and I met some friends at Del Cielo for breakfast yesterday. We loved how extensive the separate vegan menu is! All of us totally enjoyed our breakfasts. The vegan combination plate was excellent! The vegan pancakes with homemade blueberry jam were absolutely fantastic. As an added bonus, the service was great! We have all agreed to return for lunch in the very near future.

Great selection of Mexican Vegan cuisine AND vegan breakfast! - Edit
So many restaurants offer vegan selections that are simply the regular version of their food minus animal products, thus ending up with an dish that is not well balanced in flavor in texture. Not so with Del Cielo. Their vegan dishes were designed vegan from the start. So the dishes are full flavored, seasoned authentically Mexican, and delicious. And bonus! They also offer a wonderful vegan breakfast with fluffy pancakes, potatoes, etc. Breakfast is not specifically Mexican, but very satisfying!

100% AUTHENTIC! DELICIOUS! - Edit
I definitely enjoyed my time eating at Del Cielo! It is definitely Tucson’s best kept secret right now! Everything that we ordered was absolutely delicious! We ordered the vegan Tacos Dorados, the vegan Pastor burrito, and 2 jackfruit quessabirria’s! I’ve never tasted yummier tortillas and rice! Everything was so light and fluffy and fresh! Absolutely fantastic! I loved that the tacos dorados and vegan Gordita’s (getting next time) comes with VEGAN CHEESE! I honestly don’t know if I could pick a favorite! I want to order everything AGAIN! I feel like the burrito is definitely more filling than the tacos or quessabirria but I still recommend! This might be risky to say, but Tumerico definitely has competition!

Fresh & tasty - Edit
I had a traditional rice and bean burrito that had cabbage and pico de gallo in it. Got food to go and reheated a mushroom/olive red chili tamale today. Delicious and filled with fresh and well prepared veggies. I’m a vegan who stays away from processed food and I really appreciated the options.

Great vegan Mexican food - Edit
There are so many vegan and vegetarian options and the staff is kind and helpful for all types of diets. I grew up in a Mexican family and it is so nice to have real traditional tasting Mexican food that is also vegan. So happy these folks are in Tucson.
