Deeply Rooted definitely a must try when visiting (or living in) Bend!

UPDATE: unfortunately they have closed as of 1/15/22!
So many tasty meals & beverages on the menu! We’ve become “regulars”! Completely vegan so no worries about the kitchen messing up. Indoor & outdoor seating. Definitely delish!!

Delicious!

We really enjoyed the fried cauliflower w/ spicy Buffalo sauce and the Thai salad. They were so good that we went back a few days later to have them again.

Pros: Lots of vegan menu items. Many looked delicious

Very Good Bar Food Burgers

I came for the sheppard pie, but turns out they pulled it from the menu. Bummer - I figured that would be a staple menu item!

Pros: Hearty, flavorful bar food. , Greasy comfort food , Clean cozy environment, open patio

Cons: Greasy comfort food😉, Their online menu isn’t updated., They don’t have the sheppard pie anymore!

Could be better

Skip the fish/chips. The texture of the fish is too mushy/slimy… we couldn’t eat it.
Caesar salad is amazing, but small portion.
Many menu items were sold out or not available

Pros: All vegan , Great staff, Tasty dressings

Cons: Expensive for portion sizes , Bad “fish”, Out of many items

Fish and chips!!

Fish and chips is one of those dishes I have missed since going vegan and this one did not disappoint! The tartar sauce was also tasty. My husband got the bratwurst and enjoyed it as well.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Where else can you get fish and chips?, All dishes and napkins were reusable!

Cons: Not much shaded outdoor seating when it's hot

It was good!

I ordered the fish and chips and they were homemade and that was a nice touch, fries are nice too! As far as the Greek freak it wasn’t a favorite and the bread was not cooked well enough. The macaroni half baked was decent as well, I liked the panko crunches too!

Pros: All vegan , Friendly staff

Cons: Good but not Wow you know?

They're Okay!

I've had better.... but they saw a niche opportunity and have filled it, with a few dishes. Of the ones recommended, I wasn't overly impressed. In my mind, nothing crave worthy...or going out of my way to go back to. I live in a neighboring city that a little to no vegan restaurants, etc, so my travels to Bend are usually with great expectation to eat good food. Deeply rooted is by no means first on my list. And yes, I do travel the world, quite frequently and 'know my food'. With a culinary institute nearby...and Portland just over the mountain (in the top 5 of the United states for vegan) you'd think they'd have some rising chefs, in the neighborhood? Vegnet puts on every year an expo in Portland that is totally dedicated to introducing the population to new products, e.t.c. (you get my point) Anyway, eat there if your famished, but don't expect anything memorable, is my thoughts.

Pros: Convenient, if your in the downtown, Near the courthouse, if you have , Jury duty or something.

Cons: Meh'.... nothing special

Creative and filling

Absolutely a gem atop a lovely city. Out of all the places I visited while vacationing in Bend, this is hands down a must visit. Immaculate selection, freshly made, and a chill environment to wrap yourself inside the restaurants dishes. Fried banana churros are something you need in your life.

Pros: Vast menu, Large portions, Allergen friendly

Cons: Seasonal options

Not to be missed

The shepherd pie and the fish and chips were excellent. I'd say the latter is a must order seeing how pretty much every other table also ordered it. We also got the fried bananas for dessert, which I'd highly recommend. Really I don't understand why more restaurants don't have this on their menus.

Pros: delicious food

Amazing!

This place is fantastic. I was in Bend for work and was nervous about finding some good vegan food! I took my chances after ready some reviews! Deeply Rooted is totally worth it. I ordered online and picked it up. When I got back to my hotel, my burger and fries were exactly what I ordered, and still warm. The truffle fries were still crispy and AMAZING!

Pros: All vegan menu, Gluten free options available, Great prices

Cons: Limited parking

Excellent!!!!

Greek Freak and Inglorious Bastard were both superb! Duffels of Truffles were still crispy, even after delivery, which was free to our hotel by the way. Completely forgot to order the Half Baked (Mac and cheese) so I guess we’ll have to wait until they open tomorrow to leave town.

Love this food

We had the Infinity and Beyond that comes with a delicious salad, the Mac and cheese and Beetle juice. All very good. We would have ordered the Leggo my Pankos as well, but they weren’t on the online menu (neither was the beetle juice)

Pros: Have added new items to already good menu, Nice atmosphere

Cons: Online menu not complete

Great food

Wow that I’m glad I decided to try this restaurant while visiting Bend! We ordered the “Jack talk Thai” dish that was a nice plate of rice and veggies with a tasty peanut sauce. We also tried the kale Caesar salad which was soooooo good. I was such a fan on Caesar salads before going vegan and this one really took me back. The chickpea croutons were amazing! Lastly we had the “fish” and chips which I believe was made from hearts of palm. While it didn’t have the flavor of fish, it still tasted great and had great texture.

Pros: All vegan

Cons: Small dining room

Goood creative food!

We tried two starters and two entrees with a juice and beer. With tip was $63 which was a bit unexpected. Food was good overall. The Fish ( hearts of palm) and chips were great. The Woodstock bowl was interesting, few warmish items and others were cold. Brussels sprouts were a favorite!

Pros: Easy to get to , Service, Creative options

Cons: Price

Delicious vegan food!!

I came here for lunch and got the Southwest Bowl and the Thai bowl. Both were delicious, some of the best food I had while in Bend. The entire menu is plant based. Highly recommended!!
