I came for the sheppard pie, but turns out they pulled it from the menu. Bummer - I figured that would be a staple menu item!

Skip the fish/chips. The texture of the fish is too mushy/slimy… we couldn’t eat it.

Fish and chips!! - Edit
Fish and chips is one of those dishes I have missed since going vegan and this one did not disappoint! The tartar sauce was also tasty. My husband got the bratwurst and enjoyed it as well.

It was good! - Edit
I ordered the fish and chips and they were homemade and that was a nice touch, fries are nice too! As far as the Greek freak it wasn’t a favorite and the bread was not cooked well enough. The macaroni half baked was decent as well, I liked the panko crunches too!

They're Okay! - Edit
I've had better.... but they saw a niche opportunity and have filled it, with a few dishes. Of the ones recommended, I wasn't overly impressed. In my mind, nothing crave worthy...or going out of my way to go back to. I live in a neighboring city that a little to no vegan restaurants, etc, so my travels to Bend are usually with great expectation to eat good food. Deeply rooted is by no means first on my list. And yes, I do travel the world, quite frequently and 'know my food'. With a culinary institute nearby...and Portland just over the mountain (in the top 5 of the United states for vegan) you'd think they'd have some rising chefs, in the neighborhood? Vegnet puts on every year an expo in Portland that is totally dedicated to introducing the population to new products, e.t.c. (you get my point) Anyway, eat there if your famished, but don't expect anything memorable, is my thoughts.

Absolutely a gem atop a lovely city. Out of all the places I visited while vacationing in Bend, this is hands down a must visit. Immaculate selection, freshly made, and a chill environment to wrap yourself inside the restaurants dishes. Fried banana churros are something you need in your life.

Not to be missed - Edit
The shepherd pie and the fish and chips were excellent. I'd say the latter is a must order seeing how pretty much every other table also ordered it. We also got the fried bananas for dessert, which I'd highly recommend. Really I don't understand why more restaurants don't have this on their menus.

This place is fantastic. I was in Bend for work and was nervous about finding some good vegan food! I took my chances after ready some reviews! Deeply Rooted is totally worth it. I ordered online and picked it up. When I got back to my hotel, my burger and fries were exactly what I ordered, and still warm. The truffle fries were still crispy and AMAZING!

Excellent!!!! - Edit
Greek Freak and Inglorious Bastard were both superb! Duffels of Truffles were still crispy, even after delivery, which was free to our hotel by the way. Completely forgot to order the Half Baked (Mac and cheese) so I guess we’ll have to wait until they open tomorrow to leave town.

Great food - Edit
Wow that I’m glad I decided to try this restaurant while visiting Bend! We ordered the “Jack talk Thai” dish that was a nice plate of rice and veggies with a tasty peanut sauce. We also tried the kale Caesar salad which was soooooo good. I was such a fan on Caesar salads before going vegan and this one really took me back. The chickpea croutons were amazing! Lastly we had the “fish” and chips which I believe was made from hearts of palm. While it didn’t have the flavor of fish, it still tasted great and had great texture.

Goood creative food! - Edit
We tried two starters and two entrees with a juice and beer. With tip was $63 which was a bit unexpected. Food was good overall. The Fish ( hearts of palm) and chips were great. The Woodstock bowl was interesting, few warmish items and others were cold. Brussels sprouts were a favorite!
