Vegan junk food that is worth the detour - Edit
I'm always excited when I find a good reason to be in The Hague, as then I can drop by at the Vegetarian Snackbar (which could also be called Mostly Vegan Snackbar as 90% is vegan). Great kapsalon (called Kap Karma), great snacks and often amazing vegan cakes as well. Also have vegan sushi, but haven't tried that yet.

Favourite place in The Hague - Edit
Lovely staff, delicious food with so much to choose from. Location is perfect (basically next to station HS) they also do deliveries. They have an collaboration with a vegan bakery in Monster which do absolutely AMAZING vegan pastries, cakes and what not. So if you happen to get some food here, don't skip the desert options.

I ordered the sate and vegan kaassoufle. The sate was great tast just like I remembered from when I used to eat meat. The kaassoufle was good but only the crust tasted like a kaassoufle the middle tasted like mustard (it was good but not really a kaassoufle).

Best Kapsalon - Edit
This is one of the best places for vegan junkfood in the NL for me. We had Kapsalon - the best one we have ever tried!! Vegan Kaassouflet (doesn't taste like cheese but is very very yum, just don't expect a cheese taste), fried 'shrims' - so good!!! And Kibbeling - that's the only one I wouldn't recommend because it tasted mostly just fried and had a not so nice consistency. But all in all it was a very yummy and positive experience. There are also places to sit, it's not cozy but enough space and better than any other typical snack bar.

The Best fried vegan shrimps I ever had - Edit
I had the mock shirmps and the kap karma (loaded fries). Both were very good, altough the (freshly made) mock shrimps were texture-wise so like actual shirmps and the taste was very good. The kap karma was like ordering a "kapsalon", so delicious and nice. I also tried the mock sate, which was also very delicious. I will be coming back to this place whenever I crave for a portion of shrimps

I'm in love with with the kip karma ("chicken" kapsalon) and I always eat way too much. Loads of vegan options! Staff is friendly and prepare the food with great care. There are still a lot of things I haven't tried, but I'll be going there a lot so I have time 😊
